*looks out side window...sees a van and an alley with some dumb cat eating garbage.... no snipers or power bent chinese people God I love living in Canada. enviously agrees canada is great... I have to get back there next winter. It was funny I am from big city so i have big city defences. I had little trust in the fact that i had maids come clean my room when i was on vacation there. By the last day i could tell i didnt have to be defensive and i stayed in my pajamas and let them come in the morning an clean my room. It is like a totally different world there. People are extreemly friendly there and also seem to be focus on their work.

Ooh! They were doing a trial run of the fireworks last night for the Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing last night! ('Twas on the news.) Looks like China's going all out! :D!!!!!
Speaking about the Olympics, I wonder how they're going to enforce the license plate curfew where only odd numbers or even numbers can be on the road on certain days. D: There's the issue of rich people with multiple cars (and, of course, a plate for each car) that could be on the road everyday! :O

Actually, Pakistan is very much in the international spotlight. It's just that the US media doesn't bother to spend any time on it, because it doesn't get them ratings.
But that leads me on another rant about how the US TV media has become a giant frustrating tabloid and that's for another thread.

WOW! Finally someone who knows how to use the []s (don't remember their English name, haha) correctly! This is actually the first time I've ever seen that! Nice! This statement just made me go off into such panic stricken fits of confusion that I actually rushed off to Wikipedia to see how on earth does one use them correctly. (They're called 'box brackets', by the way... apparently :'D) ...Did I actually use them correctly? ...Er ...I'm actually supposed to be pretty bad with grammer and stuff. I mean, I failed in all grammers of ALL languages! D:As for suicide bombers, wyrdwad: Er... yeah, a couple have reared their ugly heads recently. They seem to pop up (in Islamabad) and blow up a couple of poor policemen each time the US goverment declares there are evil militants and Pakistan needs to be bombed. Or does throw a couple of bombs! They've apparently become quite a regular feature in the Balochistan region though (not a surprise as there seems to be a minor war going on over there right now :'D). And... I was reading about the odd and even number plate thing about the Olympics. What's that about?! Why? (The fireworks looked pretty in the pictures though!)

And... I was reading about the odd and even number plate thing about the Olympics. What's that about?! Why? (The fireworks looked pretty in the pictures though!) To cut down on pollution and also to limit the number of cars on the road due to the influx of visitors. :3 I really wonder if they're going to profit from the event overall? A lot of people had to make sacrifices such as workers from other provinces who apparently had to be shooed back home to "make space" for visitors. >_>

To cut down on pollution and also to limit the number of cars on the road due to the influx of visitors. That has to be the oddest idea ever! How on earth are they going to manage that? (And China's huge! And I can't imagine the police/traffic wardens being so efficient! No police in any country is! [There always HAS to be a lazy policeman!]) They should've just raised the gas prices! *gets stabbed by all Chinese people* Shoo-ing their own people out of the city for outsiders seems mean somehow..?
