Last night I dreamed that there was a Famicom Ys III game that was the real inspiration for Oath in Felghana. But somehow it became known as a lost game. It had the same character designs as Oath but they were all chibi sized. Somehow I got to play it, and I remember stage one quite well. It had Chester's head sticking out of a ship and was a side scrolling shooting stage. The only other image I remember from it was Adol and Dogi with a gap between them, and Adol couldn't cross it. There was a brick wall in the background.
I also dreamed I was searching through a box of old stuff and found a book previewing the game and it was in perfect condition, proving that the game was made. I remember being so excited to show the book at ALoY.

I remember having a dream when I was younger playing an unknown Ys game. It resembled Ys IV, but I honestly can't remember much about it. It's amazing what the mind can create.
RaisonD'etritus mentions Lucid Dreaming. It's been awhile since I've had one of those dreams. I usually try to explore in the dream world when it happens to me, definitely very cool to experience, everything seems almost too real.

I had a waking dream about Ys IV once (guess that would be a delusion/hallucination). I'd been awake about 42 hours, and was playing MotS when I "drifted off." It was at the part where you're raiding the castle with other soldiers (or something like that), and I dreamt it al in real time, first hand. Then when I snapped out of it I was still playing, and had actually progressed as far in the game as I'd dreamt I had--it was really trippy.
As for lucid dreams, I've only had like 2. Unfortunately, I realize I'm dreaming often, but always wake up when I do. Probably on account of the fact that my dreams, even when fantastical, are grounded enough in reality to make me not realize they're dreams. So I'll ponder whether I'm dreaming or not for a while, but then when I finally reason it out, it breaks apart.

Once I realize I'm dreaming, everything becomes vivid and I realize I don't have very much time to explore before waking up. I know this from previous lucid dreaming in the dream state, which I find very interesting. But, I do know I'm dreaming, so I just enjoy the experience until, it breaks apart. I've always wondered how many people have actually experienced lucid dreaming. I think I started having them in my college years. It's been awhile since I've had one, very rare for me.

Had an awesome dream a couple days ago where the Earth was overrun by zombies, and all the normal people lived in underwater cities. The zombies couldn't go underwater, and many of them just paced slowly around the edge of the ocean. I remember looking up toward the surface and seeing a zombie's back as he walked around. Also sometimes our visibility under the water would go blurry, and we'd have to go above the surface to regain clear vision.
There was a part where I was above the surface of the water. I was flying and being chased by zombies, but my flight was running out and I didn't know if I was gonna make it back to the water or crash into the ground.

"You have to take a submarine to the temple of solace. There, you will hear the laughter of children, and see the sunset in clear view. There, you will be pricked by the pathway of gnarled bramble and thorns. There, is your future."
The bramble symbolizes my pessimism, while the distant laughter of children and the open sunset represent my optimism. The submarine symbolizes the part of me that feels trapped inside. Where I stood in the temple of solace itself represents two possible futures and my personal uncertainty. So my dream represents my life; I eventually won't be trapped, but I don't know where I'm headed, or whether it's good or bad. That, or I see the good and the bad, and I'm not sure which path to follow.

I had a dream. My memory of it is so vague, but I dreamt about having fun with someone I neither know nor trust, but could be hanging out with in the near future.

Nah, dude. Think Freudian; the submarine is an obvious phallic symbol! *puts hand on Maggot's leg again* Creepily predatory jokes aside, it's good to see somebody with the introspection to try to figure out their mind's inner workings. You seem to have a healthy insight into your darker places.

I've been having nightmares lately, even found myself sleeping with the lamp on last night.
I have these episodes of sleep paralysis that are becoming more frequent. I'll wake up in the middle of the night, only to find myself losing movement of my entire body as I begin to drift asleep again.
I remember dreaming that I was on my bed awake and I could feel the presence of someone laying beside me, but I could not move to get away from this person. I felt the sensation that this person, was keeping me on my bed against my will... very frightening.

So I had this dream I was near a lake with an abandoned house, all decayed and falling apart. It was sunny. I noticed in the distance, a bear coming towards me. I used the house as an obstacle to keep a distance from the bear fearing it would attack me. I decided to make a run for the lake, jumped in the water attempting to escape, only to have the bear jump in after me. After realizing the bear had no hostile intentions towards me, I grabbed unto the bear and it took me for a swim along a cliff. I eventually let go of the bear to scale the cliff as the bear crawled ashore and walked away.
In my dreams from what I remember, I've been confronted by a deer, a wolf, and a bear. Neither animal had hostile intentions.

This is too funny. I don't even want to know what his dream was about, the thought of it sends chills down my very soul.

Don't worry. Getting shivers just from the thought of me is perfectly normal.

I dreamt of snow. And that I was a mercenary on the night before a battle. We all followed some tradition of cursing the unlucky weather and drinking in the snow. There was a strong feeling of camaraderie. And cold. 'Twas a good dream.
