Just got to the next town, and I was wondering why a certain someone had a certain odd habit and all I have to say is: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Ragna is so dense

The object across (treasure chest area) is removable. Not really a hint; the sign really just tells you what you should do.

Blargh, not being able to read is probably hampering on my progress more than I'd like, I'm stuck again (and it's always in the towns -_-). Just beat the boss in the snow mountains, and I now have Rue following me but I can't figure out what to do to get out. The message after saving mentions something about Fiona and Pipiro (talk to them?) but I can't leave as Rue drags me back whenever I try to leave

Ruu told Ragna that she has teleportation ability as well.

Took me a while to figure out how to knock out the zombies in the village. I sort of wish this game allowed players to rotate the camera. It would have made that easier as well as the fire boss fight, IMO.

Whoa........track 5 on Disc 1 of the OST is phenomenal. I'm digging the music. I like it better than the original.

I cannot find Pipiro for the life of me >_> Found La Layla and Fiona easily because they're in their homes, but Pipiro is not at the pet shop, the garage, any of the dungeon entrances, Crystal Blue, all of the houses in the three towns I've checked, etc. There's probably some place I'm too stupid to remember to look at but I don't know where that would be

Go to the area between the church and the place where you report to Caldina about your hunter rank in Arte (town).

Ah~ Subaru is so cute! ^o^ I love his infinite supply of ninja stars. XD
SIGH. I'm stuck in getting yet another chest from Moonbria -- it's the one that's SE of the hole in the ground that's spewing up fire.
Say, there isn't a screencap button for this game, is there? I don't see anything in the manual about it. :/
For the screenshot I nabbed before, I had to record the game and then use a video player's option to take a capture of a frame. :\
.... I just realized that Fraps has a screencap option. Uh duhhhhhhhh. 9___9

The sign read "Return the 6 Spirit Kings back to Hell". I went "huh?" after that. It was only during the 2nd try that I realized there were will o' wisps wearing crowns. I didn't notice them because I kept whacking at every enemy without thought. So, to get the chest, simply use your Hook Gear and throw all six King Wisps into the fire. Just make sure u don't kill them first.

Zuu: Yeah I found it strange the game doesn't have its own screen capture option, as I was actually looking around to see if I could disable it instead. My Fraps is set to Prnt Scrn to take snapshots, which results in doubles when playing Ys Origin, heh. I don't have any advice for the Moonblear (yeah I have weird interpretations for translating stuff lol) treasure you're missing, but if you already got Subaru, the answer to the big treasure chest in the next dungeon is come back later. There's a minor chest you might have trouble with though, so here's a hint: Subaru's ninja stars let you "float" in the air as you use them. Akharr: Sorry, I only have a save file way farther than that; I don't think you want it. I've been using only single save slots on PC games ever since I played KotOR 2 and upon uninstalling it I found I had 8GB in saves when using individual slots every time, and I don't want that mess to happen again PS I think your English is acceptably fine for someone who isn't a native speaker of the language, better than much of the idiotic internet speakers who refuse to use grammar.

You guys are awesome as always. <3 This is why I like this board so much~!
I actually spotted the wisp enemies with the crown the first time I went through that part but I thought they had them on as a sign of being ones responsible for spewing out more wisps. XD As a result, I always killed them as fast as I could. ^^;;;;
I think, even if I understood what the sign said, I still wouldn't have clued in on it. :B
psybuster: Thank you for the tip! :D Currently, I'm just milling around the ninja village but I shall experiment with Subaru's attacks~! (I love just having him stand still and rapidly throw the stars. XD)

Man I have to wonder whether the Burning Gear is glitched because winning boss fights in about 15 seconds seems completely unintentional...

Err, you sure you aren't like 10 levels above the recommended one? ^^;
I'm pretty sure I took a lot more than 15 seconds to fight bosses, burning gear or not.

Was level 18 on a 21 or 22 recommended boss. Going further in though I think it's just that one boss in particular who can be easily cornered, the others took a little over a minute (after many deaths anyway). Still, the thing is powerful enough that you can stand to trade hits and still come out on top a lot of the time in my experience, which is still kind of lame ;/

~???
I don't like using the Burning Gear very much on regular enemies OR bosses since it never seems to do as much damage per hit as the non-elemental ones.
Or maybe I don't know how to use it? XD I think this is most likely it cuz I sort of just ignored the tutorial screen that popped up once you get the Gear. So what's the specialty of this weapon? XD XD XD
Oh dur. Seems the rapid-attack only works when enemies are cornered, eh? I'll try and exploit it.
(Yes, I went through all the dungeons up to level 18 without knowing anything about its special properties.)
And good grief. I completely SUCK at figuring out how to get chests behind gates that have the "do not enter" symbol on both sides -- like that one in the snow mountain dungeon (with the gear sign) with the big mushrooms all over the place on the first level but there's a little mushroom in the area where the chest is and about 4 or 5 of those mushroom bases on the last level.
Admittedly, I just ignored all the mushrooms on the first level cuz I didn't see any bases to put them on.
Oh! On the first level, I can put the enemy hat on top of the one near the entrance. But ... I wonder what that does? *goes on to explore*
psybuster: NooooooooOOoOoOoo. No dying allowed! You must rapid feed your characters! :((((((( Be nice and pay attention to their HP. :/
Akharr: Sorry~ I think my earliest save is at a level 12 or 13 dungeon or later. :/ Well, whatever earliest save I have is definitely past the initial playthrough of the Golden Dark Forest.

You can generate multiple hits with the burning gear. As I mentioned before, just hold the attack button when you hit the monster or a target. You can easily generate 10-15 hits in one go depending on the size of the monster. The bigger the better. There is actually another powerful gear, but I won't discuss this one until some people here is much further ahead. (I'm on my third gameplay right now...AH!)
Mushroom puzzle: Actually, this one is a little tricky. Most players do not know about this one. All the mushrooms need to wear a shitake shaped hat. One of them isn't. Inspect all the mushrooms carefully and try everything to them.

I did spot that tip but I couldn't get it to work so I just went on my merry way. Now I'm doing the freeze + multi-hit combo and it works VERY well. :D And yeah! I just got the chest. It was so silly to see the stream of mushrooms moving. ^^;; I only discovered the hat thing because the bird pet planted a bomb near one of them. :B
