Yeah, Braindead is one of the movies I plan on watching soon.
I'm starting to wonder if watching these gorror movies will help any with training to become a nurse, though, since I'm doing it to try to get used to blood and guts and all... although I think I'm still deathly afraid of intestines. :/

The Graduate
Apparently something about Simon and Garfunkel always makes me sing along... poorly

Let The Right One In
Swedish child romance vampire drama about a bullied 12 year old whose neigbor of seemingly the same age is a vampire, and their friendship. Obviously an interesting genre-crosser, but I really liked it.

I watched both Let the Right One In and Let Me In (The American Version). They were alright but I didn't really like them either, decent movies. Twilight puts those movies to shame actually

Not really a movie, but we watched the complete first season of The Walking Dead Saturday night instead of the usual Mario Kart 64 marathon. Great series, and suspenseful as heck! Lots of Zombie killing action throughout, and some very memorable characters. I highly recommend it if you like zombie stuff.

I'm currently rereading what I own of the comic of that. I'll get it on DVD once my brother can rent it for free from his work (after one month).

I really want to see the comic, and what differences there are between it and the show. We were hooked after the first episode, and had to watch them all.

Well, I dunno if you can do this in America, but at Chapters, if you have an iRewards card and order it online, you chop of like 40% of the price. So I get the Compendium One with fast shipping and everything for like 50$.

Fantastic show! For the production values (and the fact we only get 6 episodes a season) it practically qualifies as a movie.
I'm eagerly anticipating season 2, but I'm yet to hear anything, so if anybody DOES know any details, by all means, speak up!

I'm a real movie fanatic, I watched so many new releases in the past weeks. But only a few caught my attention: Conviction - Man is wrongfully convicted of a crime and spends 18 years in jail while his sister, during that time, becomes a lawyer and manages to prove his innocence. The sad part... after spending 18 years behind bars, he died like 6 months later in an accident. Unstoppable - This is a tricky one, so many people I talked to didn't like the movie, but I found it very entertaining. Plus, Chris Pine is hot in that one (I'm not gay by the way) 127 Hours - Very interesting direction, it felt amateurish but I guess that is what the director wanted. Dude gets trapped in a canyon for 5 days after a boulder crushes his arm against a canyon wall during some climbing. He amputates his own arm, by breaking the bones and cutting through the flesh with a small pocket knife. I don't think I would ever have the balls to do something like that, they are too small. The Fighter - reminded me of Rocky, I like boxing movies. Just to name a few so many good movies I have yet to watch.

I just saw Taxi Driver on THE BIG SCREEN. It was a very awesome showing to celebrate its 35th anniversary. I also took 3 posters, so I'll have one on my wall, one in my locker, and one for my brother. Still, it was very amazing, greatly directed and extremely cerebral.

I would like to see Taxi Driver again, it's been a long time.
Just saw Sucker Punch, and it was fantastic! It has everything I love about comic books, action, fantasy and B movies all rolled into one, and totally unleashed 100%. I will definitely see it again.

Y'know, I still haven't seen Taxi Driver. *updates Netflix queu*
And so: Evangelion 1.11 I Am (So) Alone
Good movie. Naturally. Wish Netflix had the next one. Wish entelechy had the third one.
I was surprised at the PG13 rating, what with the fully nude 14 year old. Sure it's animated, but American ratings are more than a bit uber-prudish. I've seen NC17 for less. And they're actually (usually) stricter with animation, because it's assumed it's for kids.

Black Swan. Excellent movie. Very beautiful too. Almost makes me want to see a ballet! ( almost. I'm not THAT metrosexual)

Oh god, I've been wanting to watch that movie for a while.
Is it as good as it sounds? Not that it probably isn't, but still...

It's great! Bruce Campbell is fantastic as Elvis. I love stories like it that stretch and create alternate histories. It's just so funny to think of it as if the events in the movie are really what Elvis went through when he was older. I think you'll enjoy it. The videos above do a great job of explaining the plot.

A friend recommended this movie to me, glad I watched it. Makes me wonder how we would react when placed under extreme situations out of our comfort zones. Very inspiring story.
