Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong were the best action flicks i've seen in a very long time... better story and characters than AC too, actually. I don't think it's very hard to surpass AC in terms of story and action though. :B Well, the problem with the action in AC was that it was very fast and the editing wasn't that great. :/

We saw the US version of Tom Yum Goong the night it came out here, and honestly, it was possibly the most fun I've had at a movie. The audience was going insane, everyone loved it. I was told that the US cut actually cut out a lot of what bits of plot there were, and... well, whatever they did, it was almost non-stop action, and it worked damn well! I was greatly entertained. I wouldn't have wanted it to be any different.

Yeah, AC, dispite being in CG and everything, had the same direction problems I find in a lot of supposedly "good" action flicks... therefore, it really had nothing at all to offer me but a crappy waste of time. Tom Yum Goong was amazing... that scene when he climbs that spiral building to the top and the camera follows him through in one shot was beautiful. Me and my cousin, when I was in england, watched a ton of movies and none blew us away more than Ong Bak... my cousin saw the scene at the end with all the cracking limbs and what not and he had to leave the room in disbelief to calm down. I told him how Tom Yum Goong was in comparison and he went nuts, I don't know if he's seen it yet though.

Well, I just came from a rage-inducing presentation at work. Why the hell do people have to act like children? People were so goddamn rude to the co-workers who were hosting it.
People kept making stupid comments like how it was a waste of time, "I don't want to do this", blah blah blah.
Seriously, STFU. Keep those comments to yourself. I understand the circumstances in that they were being given information they already know but if you don't want to be there then just sit through it and talk to the supervisor afterward.
It was truly appalling. Just the fact that we're all adults -- I don't think anyone in the room was under 25 years old -- it's plain sickening.
I was almost tempted to go and apologize to the co-worker for their inconsiderate behaviour but it shouldn't be up to me to do it. The sad thing is that you can't change these people; they're just like that and it happens time and again where they shoot their goddamn mouths off. A lot of things could be said differently without the hostile tones but obviously, they weren't brought up know when to be empathic and courteous.
I think I'm going to have to write an e-mail to the supervisor and maybe manager stating that I don't feel comfortable being in sessions like this. At one point, I was almost ready to just tell people to stop being like whiny little children.

I'm quite certain that AC was NOT a comedy. :B Sure it is... a comedy of errors. :) Boo. It was poor comedy then since there weren't any hilarious moments. :(

- People who treat the Trash man/woman like crap (or anyone for that matter.) because they preform a very useful service that you shouldn't take for granted.
What kills me is when people give shitty tips (or don't tip at all! assholes!) to delivery drivers. They do an insanely great service, and there are several restaurants in the Boston area that are always fast, friendly, and almost always deliver my orders flawlessly. I refuse to tip a delivery driver less than $5. I don't expect everyone to, but I appreciate what they do, and how dangerous their job can be at times. Fact: when people insist (usually quite loudly and rudely) that delivery drivers deserve less of a tip than waiters and waitresses, I become insanely angry.

Wow, you don't do that at all here in Sweden. I've never tipped anyone (nor do I know of anyone that has), and I never will. Nobody expects me to, and I'm happy for that, because I'm cheap (and a little poor).

Nobody expects me to, and I'm happy for that, because I'm cheap (and a little poor). Well, I can understand that, local tipping customs are always radically different, and I do know that a lot of places don't. However, in the US, it is most definitely expected, and people who don't do it are simply cheap bastards with no appreciation for how hard others work.

Hehe, if I were to tip someone here, that person would most definitely be very offended. It would be like saying "I'm better than you".

Here's mine. - Internet shorthand causing me to spout silly phrases... just because, Adol dumped me!. Kidding.
- EDIT: Cloud in FFVII being a bad[you-know] and then in AC being more emotional than I could stand. No sympathy for the whiny buster swordsman.
It's amazing what Adol can make people do. :( And Cloud was more emotional in AC than in the game? :O

I love everything about FF IX. It took me about seventy-seven hours to complete the whole thing. That's the most time I've ever spent on a Final Fantasy game.
I am curious to know what those couple of minor localization issues are, though Deuce.
