Has the America release date been confirmed yet for Ys I-II Chronicles?

I really hope Atlus or some other company tries to get their hands on it... Atlus did it with the DS version, now they need to do it with the PSP! D:

I think the DS version being released so recently would make anyone other than Atlus stay away. It's sales on DS were pretty low. It doesn't make a big difference to me, I've played through them in Japanese before. Someone better pick up Ys 7 though.

Well I will be getting the Japanese version since I have played through I & II many times. I do hope someone can at least do a translation patch

Actually, yes, PSP games HAVE been patched before. The only instance I know of personally is the fan translation project of Monster Hunter Portable 2ndG. There was also going to be a fan translation of Phantasy Star Portable, but once the official localization was announced, that idea was scrapped.
In any case, back to the topic: I doubt I&II Chronicles will be localized, or at least, not anytime soon. Ys 7 seems like a much more attractive candidate.

Reflecting on older posts... Yeah, there's been no announcement of any American company picking it up, and the chances of that happening really aren't all that high. It'd be cool if it happened, but I wouldn't hold my breath. -Tom ...I find this one to be rather amusing.

Our marketing guys tend to gravitate toward the one-minute trailer that specifically highlights ONE OR TWO PARTS of a game, which is why this one pretty much focused on the music and the bosses. If it's a little silly, too, that's usually a good thing, because it means sites like Kotaku will mention it. (You'll note this is the first time Kotaku's mentioned ANYTHING XSEED AT ALL since like... May!) Whether or not that type of advertising is the best approach, I couldn't say. And I agree, the Japanese trailer is better -- for you, and for me. But I think the point of THIS trailer is to try attracting more casual audiences -- people who aren't already aware of or interested in the game. It's meant as an attention-grabber more than anything else... and in that sense, I think it's pretty effective. -Tom you have an opening in marketing department?? lol i want a job

"when men were men" WTF is that suppose to mean? LOL It's the same as when Adol put his finger on Dogi's lips to shush him in the OiF prologue. NTTAWWT...

Sorry Tom, I love you guys and all but all of your Ys trailers have been pretty awful so far and this one's no exception. The font and text in general in particular look really amateurish, and I'm... not sure how well this whole 'hair metal hair metal hair metal' thing is going to go down. On the plus side focusing on the bosses is always a good idea, and the music doesn't have the random skips that the Seven trailer did, so that's progress!

I'm confused as to why the trailer didn't incorporate music from the actual game - unless the old 1991 JDK Band version is going to be included in the US release.
