If you use another operating system altogether like some Linux distribution or Mac OS, your vote should be No. :P
Anyway, I'll be putting in my order for Win 7 Pro 64-bit when I get home today!! :D! Gonna be dual booting between XP Pro and that on me desktop. >:3
Edit: Wow, I was on drugs when phrasing the question. :P
It was supposed to read Have you upgraded/will you be upgrading to Windows 7?

I think there's a student discount right now where I could get it for 30 dollars... so yes

Voted yes just for the heck of it. :'D I'm pretty satisfied with me XP right now. It all works fine, all me Falcom games (okie, 2 games [Three if we want to be picky and count Ys I and II as 2 ]) seem to be designed for XP, and all is fine in life. But since I seem to insist upon clinging to windows, I'm sure I will pick up soooooome day. :'D Plus. I don't feel like spending extra moneys right now. XD .......Is there any reason in particular that I should be picking it up though? Aside from the fact that I probably seem like a totally backwards, ancient old stubborn fool? :'D

No. Unless there was some amazing RPG that was made exclusively to run on Windows 7, I don't have a reason to get it yet. I lack the computer skills to benefit from it.

.......Is there any reason in particular that I should be picking it up though? Aside from the fact that I probably seem like a totally backwards, ancient old stubborn fool? :'D Well, the main thing I liked from the release candidate was that it was FAST. Even Vista didn't feel as zippy. (Granted, it's on my notebook which is slower than my desktop system ^^). And I loved the silly desktop screencap function which you can select which part of the desktop you want to take a pic of. There are separate 3rd party programs that do the same thing but 7 has it built in. Uh, I can't remember much more about it since I haven't used it in a long time. XD! I just remember being all "Oooooooooooooooooooooooh" about it since unlike a lot of other people, I've never had the chance to compare it to Vista before. :B

It's a contest by default (for me!), but not anymore since you've clarified.

I think I can get it for free through school, but they probably won't have it available for a month or two. The only thing that worries me about upgrading is trying to get YsF/O/6 to run smoothly. I'm pretty thrilled that's the only thing causing any hesitation. I'll almost definitely be on it by year's end.

XD I sort of want to replay it so I figure, what the hey~~~~? :B

God, I'd rather hang myself; Vista is already too puke-inducing as it is, and I don't need to make it worse.

I has voted maybes because I am both going to upgrade and not going to upgrade. I've got Vista on both the PC and laptop. Laptop has the potential to run pretty slow at times, so I'm going to take advantage of the upgrade options there to free up RAM. PC runs fine - not interested.
... well, damnit. I just checked the upgrade information on microsoft's site and it looks like Toshiba isn't offering the upgrade for the Vista version that came with my laptop. Stupid Vista Home Basic. *mope* ):
Can I just change my vote to no lol?

I'm running on Win7 and it's just okay. I'd rather have XP installed but my PC is cursed and everytime I install XP it just starts having BSODs, boot problems and more. It's really sad. I'm really just waiting for two things: money for a full new decent PC (never gonna happen) and Google OS because everyone knows that Google is eventually gonna own everything anyways .

Well, I just found out that Windows 7 allows you to LISTEN to your Line-In connection (which, for some reason was not an option in Vista, grr). This is going to make the little project I've been working on since May a lot easier.
Also, PORTRAIT MODE for the mother fuckin' win.
Unless that was in Vista and I never noticed it.
