Well, I just found out that Windows 7 allows you to LISTEN to your Line-In connection (which, for some reason was not an option in Vista, grr). This is going to make the little project I've been working on since May a lot easier. Also, PORTRAIT MODE for the mother fuckin' win. Unless that was in Vista and I never noticed it. I listen to my line-in connection all the time. You just have to enable an option in the control panel... one sec, lemme find it again. Go to Control Panel>Sound>Line In>Properties>Enhancements and enable 'Immediate Mode'. It might be kinda quiet, but otherwise it works fine. Also, Vista has portrait mode for me. Nvidia Control Panel has an option for it.

Is that the Hannah Montana PSP? XD Yes. Yes it is. :D! Is it sparkly too? I sort of want to see that PSP up close since I'm convinced it's the same one as the lavender Japanese one which is the one I have. :3!! (You don't need to take a photo of it. ^^;;;;;;;;;;)

(You don't need to take a photo of it. ^^;;;;;;;;;;) It IS sparkly and that's exactly why I bought it (oh and I guess to have the super sweet PSP 3000 screen, but let's be honest, I really just wanted a purple PSP).

For what it's worth, I've been running 7 since pre-beta, and I've never had any problem with Falcom games. 64-bit though? Si.

I just bought a new laptop on Thursday and it cam pre-installed with Windows 7. So far, it seems pretty smooth going. I, however, was one of the people who never had huge issues with Vista, so *shrugs* Overall, though, it's going pretty well so far... I can second this statement (specifically the 64-bit version) as that's one of the first things I tried. I tried Ys I&II and OiF and they ran flawlessly. Actually for me, OiF runs even smoother now because of the better laptop I have now!

Been running Win 7 since beta version. Love it to the core. I threw my "falcom savings fund" into my spanking new Win 7 Ultimate since I figured I won't have a chance to use it anymore.
All my games work, even games in dosbox. I'm surprised Wyrdy doesn't find it better than Vista. That's rather shocking really. The new 'superbar' and Aero snap and shake features are enough to make daily computer usage so much more efficient than before. UAC is a lot less intrusive and less annoying. On the whole, the experience is much smoother than Vista. But I guess that's not enough for current Vista users to switch over really, perhaps after SP1 is out.
Anyway I love Nanami Chan.

Ugh, the classic style is horrible. I'm a slave to the new and shiny, so I can't even stand using XP anymore, much less anything before it.
Of course, as far as I'm concerned Win7 is the best of both of worlds, because it's new and shiny and works well. Honestly, this is the first and possibly last time I actually decided to buy Windows.
... Shame I'll be installing it on a Mac!

"Dude, stop living in the Ice Age"... is what I would have said to someone who thinks like you, wyrdy. But I won't.
Although I'm gonna have to comment on the "making yourself work well" comment. We are going into the networking age, face it, people are going to make their homes connected in the future whether you like it or not. And XP isn't going to make that happen because everyone knows XP has very very bad networking support. Windows 7 makes networking a breeze.
And soon in the future we'll see a lot of those SSD harddisks and Windows 7 is programmed to make full use of their speed. Imagine booting up windows 7 in under 11 seconds (well someone made it happen already with win 7 and SSD). Hell XP ain't ever gonna do that.
As for bugs... what bugs? I've never seen any BSOD or program glitch ever since using Windows 7. The backwards compatibility in Windows 7 works wonders in legacy programs and drivers and even if that doesn't work, there's still XP Mode for Windows 7 Pro and above users. XP Mode is in fact a free XP install in Virtual mode that is integrated nicely into Windows 7 for full compatibility with virtually all programs out there... although I admit the catch is that it's only for pple who bought Win 7 Pro and Ultimate...

And only the ones that do not require your video card in any shape or form. Even stuff like Legend of Heroes 3 won't work with XP mode. Which was disappointing as I thought I'd be able to use that to make it windowed :/ This is why it's only on professional and above I guess - it's pretty much useless to home users.

Ah yeah it's more for businesses who require old programs to work. Windows Virtual Machine is not perfected yet to make use of graphics support via directx. So you're left with basic video and sound support and usb support. It's pretty useful for connecting my samsung cellphone because the cellphone backup program works in xp and not so in vista/7.

Hmmm... I could start one hell of a debate here, but in order to promote peace and yet still say something: I agree with Wyrd. xD There's also this, posted by me not so long ago, as well. Microsoft just does crap. Always did, always will.

I knew that Home Premium would do for me but I got Pro for the hell of it. Currently installing right now.
My main concern is that I don't think there are Win7 drivers for the GameBridge and my primary soundcard, the HT Omega Striker 7.1.
Guess I could try the Vista driver since it apparently has one.
And for everything else, I'll just boot into XP. :P
Oh yeah, the stupid upgrade advisor told me that my ATI Radeon HD 4-whatever-the-numbers-were can't handle Aero. WTF?
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Installed ... but no sound! Gotta find drivers for my sound cards now.
Holy crap. Windows 7 is scary fast.
Oh duh. I keep forgetting I should be installing the 64-bit versions of stuff now. :P

Also, OSX really does not deserve the pedestal some people put it on.

Oh my GOD. I LOVE this OS. The search function is amazing. And I simply love how I can copy and paste addreses in search results into the address bar and jump to that folder/subfolder immediately. It was extremely useful when I was editing system sounds. This is good stuff. So glad I bought it! *___* Looks like Vista can do it too? :o Sort of. But not as good. Nyuk nyuk~! Oh yeah, gotta throw Napishitim onto this now. I'll work on getting the damn GameBridge to work with this thing. Maybe. I actually have a video capture card but I had to remove it to install a network card cuz the on-board NIC died on me a while back. >:( I have no free slots. SIGH.
