I like how Fai argued that she's not cheery and happy, then proceeded to describe the way she looks at the world, which is decidedly cheery and happy. I also like how Nunuu can change topics a good 3 or 4 times in a single response! You guys are so awesome. EDIT: That sounded sarcastic, I think, but I absolutely 100% did NOT mean it that way. You guys actually ARE awesome! -Tom Hee, sorry. ^_^ I'll accept optimistic (even if it's sometimes a forced sort of optimism), but cheeriness to me implies someone much chirpier and friendlier than me. I'm quiet, I stare at my feet lots, and I often forget basic courtesies because I'm too nervous around others. I wish I were cheery, and maybe that comes through on the internet, but at best I can manage an awkward sort of friendliness. Also, I think cheeriness is something much more natural and unaffected than whatever it is I have. Truly cheerful people don't seem to know how much they brighten the world around them, and simply seem to subconsciously put a positive spin on everything. I'm just someone who makes a deliberate (and not always entirely successful) effort to enjoy everything because life is much nicer that way. And I never even noticed that in Nunuu's post until you mentioned. XD But the 'thought' in the title does have an optional plural. So I suppose it's not entirely inappropriate. ^_~ Nunuu: Azumanga Daioh is lovely! The style of humour is very similar, but there's less young girl asks obvious questions and does silly things. Though personally I loved that about Yotsuba anyway, so maybe you should take my opinion with a pinch of salt. ^^

I'm not that cheery~! I spent most of my early teenage years being so gloomy that I think I depressed not only myself, but everyone in my immediate vicinity. You seem to be implying that being gloomy isn't the whole purpose of teenagers. Because it is.

I spent me teenage years gloom-glooming away too. X'D Then somewhere along the way... I went though a Fai-like moment of realization, gave myself a kick, and forced myself to think cheerier. Anyways! Cheery news of the day! Me FFXIII finally arrived! Yay! *random moments of great celebrations* XD Now all that is left is to... er... get meself a PS3. :'D When I looked around though, it appears that Slim 250GB one seems to be only available as a Japanese version one. Which.... would be not bad. Except that... the manual will be in Japanese, ne? :/ And I'm feeling like quite the ignorant idiot around PS3s. :'D Hrm~ :\ Ought I just get this? Is the PS3 manual available online too?

Ai~ My brain appears to be totally gone today, and for some reason did not notice the wyrdwad reply! So! Let me just pick up that late edit from that previous post and place it here: (X'D) Ah well~~~ heh heh heh.... X'D I... got it. *shot* A trip down to the market, and a bit of random bargaining, and I ended up grabbing it because I managed to harass the game shop guy way too well, and managed to get a very nice price~! <3 X'''''D (Hope I haven't confused anyone THAT much with my weird post edit spam. :'D I think I'm just way too excited getting a brand new console. X'D [Oh! And part of the manual is in english!])

Bingo. -Tom Ahaha! Quiet you. ^_^ You seem to be implying that being gloomy isn't the whole purpose of teenagers. Because it is. Oh don't get me wrong, I know I'm not alone by any means. But there are plenty of people who get through their teenage years just fine. And I was...umm...very much not one of them~! Being unpleasant and moody isn't excusable, regardless of how commonplace it may be. Congratulations on the PS3, Yakra! The only difference I've noticed between regions is that my PAL PS3 defaults to the American and British button layout (X for confirm and O for cancel) on some Japanese games. It seems to vary from game to game, and some have a button layout hardcoded. But Tales of Vesperia and Final Fantasy XIII both seemed to know that I was playing on a PAL machine, and responded accordingly. It's a little annoying being that I naturally expect the Japanese button layout while playing a Japanese game, but considering that the machine itself is completely region free, I can't complain. I really hope it's a trend that catches on.

I was watching Zeta Gundam and they introduced a mobile suit pilot named Adol.
Given his quick introduction and it being a Gundam series, I knew he wouldn't last long. Poor Adol was dead by the end of the episode, killed by friendly fire

Yay! New PS3 owners cuz of FFXIII! XD *bandwagon'd!!!* Unrelated: I redid the colour scheme of my Backloggery and also changed the title banner! Check out the super cute Zwei!! image! ^o^ backloggery.com/main.php?user=nunuuI got it scanned in at 300 dpi. It's not as sharp as I would like it to be but if anyone wants the massive image, I can certainly provide it. :D!

Blargh. Wish the PS3 wouldn't go pop now and then.
I've read at various forums that it's normal as it only means the plastic is expanding due to heat.
And that's another thing! The thing seems to get quite toasty toward the back! D:

After panicking loads last night, on how I might just blow me PS3 up (Hoi! It could be a valid argument! Truly! I mean.... what if the original different electricity voltage issue (in the ancient PS2) was back again in this Slim?! X'D *shot*) This is.... kind of like a giant PSP... :'D My main concern, somehow, was that perhaps me games wouldn't run without an internet connection or something. ...Or something. One really needs to fix that bit. Me internet router/modem only has one LAN line and no wirelessness. :'D Anyways~ Congratulations on the PS3, Yakra! The only difference I've noticed between regions is that my PAL PS3 defaults to the American and British button layout (X for confirm and O for cancel) on some Japanese games. It seems to vary from game to game, and some have a button layout hardcoded. It's a little annoying being that I naturally expect the Japanese button layout while playing a Japanese game, but considering that the machine itself is completely region free, I can't complain. I really hope it's a trend that catches on. I got to experience this yesterday! Most irritating it was in some ways. For some reason, the confirm button in me FFXIII is O. And I can't switch it back to good old X, can I? :/ Hrm~ Ah well... one shall get used to it, I'm sure. :'D Also~ That Zweii!! pic is gorgeous~~~~ *____* (I want bigger versions................ *shot*)And, the randomness of the day - these item worlds in Disgaea are MOST painful. It's annoying how every single item has it's world! It's annoying how buying a new track to play for my item world exploration is expensive! It's annoying how slow everyone levels up! And most of all, it's annoying how I want to power up each of my character's weapons and going through the same old worlds, again and again, with this music that I hate blaring in the back! >___<!!! ....I suppose I can actually beat the game very easily without attempting to get a super staff for me Star Mage, right? :/ (I still don't think I'm very far in the game. I'm.... in the part where Laharl issues challenges to others? Have I crossed the epic songs [which have apparently been kicked out of this PSP version?] part?)

Do you have it sitting on a shelf, where it's basically enclosed on all sides except the front? Because I've heard that with the PS3, that's the primary source of overheating - it's best to put the PS3 on a really wide shelf, with TONS of room on all sides, or on top of a table, or somewhere else where it has lots of room to "breathe." There's no shelves around it at all as it's just sitting on top of my desk next to the Wii~! But I think the slim PS2 gets pretty hot too so I guess it's a normal thing. The only difference is that there's no popping. I think I'll take a photo of my ghetto room again since some things have changed! XD Yakra: I'll upload the giant Zwei!! image when I get home. :3 Also! I've always disliked the X button as being a confirmation button since I play so many imports. :P

It makes no sense either because X == WRONG/NO and O == RIGHT/YES!
I mean, you don't see manga or anime characters ram into others with their arms forming an O shape when they're screaming "DAME!!" or "IIE!!".
(I always find it funny when they do the arm-crossing bit to show "NO!")
XD XD XD

I've done the arm-cross to signify no before! It's fun!! (: More people should do that! Heheheheh... You should try and ram into them for maximum impact! XD

I should NOT be allowed to do repairs by myself. I ordered a SATA HDD when I needed an ATA-6/IDE HDD.
