So Nightmare mode changes the game's rating? XD
Well, not that she's naked or anything but man ...

I could've sworn that's the same image that I got from playing through Nightmare mode. I always liked the eye effect going on there, different shades and all.

Speedruns. I actually didn't really understand the image until I found out that Fire Magic is - Super Effective! - on that boss. Normal, or extra crispy settings I guess.

Wow, I wouldn't have even noticed those differences on my own. That's pretty neat!

A question from another newbie to falcom games. Whilst I've been introduced to the Ys games, are there any other games from said company I can play in English? i.e. Games with English patches and/or official releases. I'm planning to buy Ys VII BTW.
Also, can't wait for Xanadu:NEXT and Zwei II trans patches.
EDIT:
Update on this, I realized the Sora no Kiseki trilogy will be localized by XSEED, which is good, but then again, the company being XSEED itself implies that there's no hope for a PC English version. QQ
Anyway, I'm really having difficulty digesting all of the information because of the sheer number of reports and re-releases of the games. Need halp.

XSEED's focus on the PSP pains me and my sad sad little wallet. Thanks for that. With the number of re-ports, I was having difficulty with just reading that I almost had to jot them down on paper lul.
For the Old PC and the Turbografx, are they playable on Windows? Any specifications? Like XP or Vista or 7 or 32 bit or 64 bit?
Also, for Napishtim, isn't there supposed to be other modes after I finish the game? Played it on PC and cleared it and hard mode and time trials don't show up at all. I was guessing it's probably a patch problem but since I'm already writing this, I'm going to mention it as well. Can't wait to try its PS2 version since a lot of material seems to have been excluded from the PC version. Rather, which one actually came out later? Because if the PS2 did, then I can understand why it'd have more stuff in it.
Anyhow, thanks again for that list. It saved me a good 45 mins - 1 hour.

It's more expensive to import the PC games though. :V I think there may be issues running the really old PC versions like Ys Eternal and such. But I think if the compatibility mode for Windows 2000 or XP is used, they may work? - Ys VI PS2 came out after the PC one and the other modes were from later patches or something, I think? Also, did you play on Easy? I don't think Hard shows up if you clear it on Easy???

Well on my first playthrough, there were no difficulty levels. If I select new game, the opening sequence starts immediately. Same thing happened after clearing the game so I guess I should get the patches. But then again, would the English patch still work afterward?
