I'm sorry, looking at that now it seems like I'm calling you out - it was meant to be a comment to staff in general but it's not easy when only two of you are currently active. :S

I don't visit the board for a few days and drama flies off the shelves!
And this is why I mention now and then that arguments should be left to private mail, especially when you have a vendetta against one individual. :P
Whoever said this stuff doesn't affect the mood of the board needs a boot to the head! *boots raison in the head*
:D!
Actual thread/subject-related:
As for the acronym, I'm putting in my vote for eye-rolling and head-shaking at it ... which is kind of odd in a way cuz I laughed at Dogi's soulful reciting of the faux outtake line that Smithee wrote. :P
Even more strange is that people can find humour in TitS but not that.

I never said that! I'm the idiot who says we should disagree respectfully and gets involved (inefectually) to say "whoah there, chief" when things get too hot. Such a violent Nunuu. . . And thanks Floof, Karura. While I know you don't speak collectively it's reassuring that the hanful of people who assess everything I say as "out of line" don't speak for the entire forum. Dissenters are always the loudest, so it gives a mob impression even when there's no mob, and makes a guy kind of self-conscious.

Indeed. I'm just playing. XD Too lazy to go back into the random thoughts thread or whatever to dig up what you actually said. :3
Hopefully, things will go back to "normal" around here now that things exploded in such a way. ^^;
Anyway, I got some other stuff to say about the whole situation here but I'll do it in the random thoughts or spam thread. Or both. For good measure.

Fear not, I'll do it for you!
And I stand by it. I've had plenty of disagreements which didn't escalate to insanity and verbal violence. Even on the Internet! Just the other week I had a heated debate about Rapelay --which it seems always causes contention-- but things never warmed beyond "cool." If more people learned to just RESPECTFULLY disagree, I truly think there'd be no problem.
We just need to stop ourselves from the: "You feel differently than me! You fuck-monkey!"
And the: "You think Ignition makes amateurish localizations! My uncle works for Ignition! You fuck-monkey!"

Well, yeah, it's the mannerisms, wordings, and such that cause crap to happen. Seriously, all the mockery that went on and referring to others as if they weren't here or involved with rude and insulting words was not necessary and just plain disrespectful.
I mean, I guess it's swell that people like you and Unsavory can take shit talk from others but Christ, this is a public forum and behaviour like shouldn't be acceptable.
I'm not looking for eternal sunshine and rainbows or some utopia but I just wish to see more empathy, respect, and less ego flaunting and/or beating.

Y'know, I honestly can't tell if you're including me in that criticism or not. And thanks for saying it's okay to make fun of me and Unsavory! But really, I think I deserve it more than he does. And I'm sure you're one of the people who can tell this, but yes, I am kidding.

Wow. I'd missed this until now.
I'm sorry for anything I've done earlier and being overly sensitive. I think part of it is that I'm just not that interested in Falcom anymore...
Anyway, things have seemed to get better, lets keep rockin' and rollin'.

You're not interested in Falcom anymore!? YOU FUCK-MONKEY!!!!!11111
Just kidding.
In all seriousness, though, this got WAY out of hand. When I was ten, I probably would have laughed at that acronym until I got the hiccups, now that I'm 21, I just smirked at the absurdity of it and moved on.
I can understand how certain people would be offended by all this; I think pointing it out, chuckling a little, and moving on would have been the best option. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world, do we? Even though I live in the U.S., I think free speech only goes so far. This went too far; it got out of hand. The thread got derailed to the point of no return and people we're hurt.
I do think that a draconian rule system is also going too far, but I can understand the feeling of need for one. I hope though that discretion will be used. My joke at the beginning of this post was made to be completely satirical, poking fun at the current situation, not to hurt feelings, I hope I made that clear.
Well, I've rambled long enough. Here's what I'm trying to say:
The U.S. has free speech (for the moment) for the purpose of raising important points and ideas without fear of people lynching you just because they are too sensitive to take it (political correctness is total bull; everything is offensive to someone), but I also believe that it should not be abused for the sole purpose of being a jerk (like those protesters at military funerals).
If you're going to say something controversial, at least TRY to be courteous about it. If you're going to run around, saying specifically designed to get people riled up, not only are you giving free speech a bad name, you're also a jerk.
