Castle of Illusion was cool! Too bad I don't own it. Licensed games REALLY need to make their way for VC! I'm not even going to try to guess either of those games! Those are some real stumpers! Though, I'm picturing regalsin's is like a beat-em-up of some sort. Flying human characters? That DOES make me think of Valis, though it's incorrect. Hmmm... can't say I've played anything like that for the PCE.

Hint: Nintendo mimicked Hudson Soft. Sony mimicked Nintendo. Sony has bouncy hard faced European broads, running around half naked. Fill the latter.

Wyrdwad you were closer to the answer earlier. That pretty much gives it away. Seriously just take into combination, of what is given. Come up with a given answer.
Hint: Off into space, fighting deadly space villians. To defend civilization.
your game is also Agent USA.

Hint: The very begining of the animation "Perfect Blue". What were those kids complaining about?

Let me give a bigger hint.
- Samus and that guy on the N64 who drives car has simular uniforms on. - She throws things at her enemies. - She was probably in real life before Sailormoon, Valis, popful, or any other Magical Girl asides the orignal Magical Girl. - She transform like her male Power Ranger counter parts. - The enemies look like something out of Kamen Rider, or Guyver. - From stage to stage she fights the good fight. - Kubiki from that series would probably have her number.

MP83 you are correct.
-This is the first hint. If you look at the body armor. OF this character along with Samus, and Momo you will clearly see that Momo's LIVE ACTION counter part was most likely doing this. This gives you an idea, that is where the costume originatd from.
Momo is also a magical girl, like Sailormoon and others. Since a magical girl is just a power ranger, but using women instead of men.
The theme being society is the fact, that people in Japan did setup performances like this. From Animation conventions, to street performances, and what nots. In general is eqaul to Kubki Teather. Or something like this.
It took us years to move into this feild and catergory. Name any other thing asides broadway plays using millions of dollars, compared to the continues festivals in Japan, that has these.
The fact, that I mention is a stage is obvious. Also Momo being eqaul to a power ranger most likely her foes are like Kamen rider, who do come from outer space.
Also if you check the intro of perfect blue, you can clearly see, power rangers. If anybody knows what PB is about... in terms of film, then you should have linked the two.
I really doubt there is any other game out there asides, space channel five, or Pa-rappa that does what this game does.

Details ---------- System: SMS Genre: Mini game Areas: Basically A Jungle Character: Explorer type guy Timer: Maybe.
Area 1:
You need to get from point a to point b. Avoiding traps, enemies, and of course water. Towards the end you might find a familiar face from another game series.
Enemies: Snakes I think.
Hints: The title of this game is mentioned in the begining of this Nintendo based animation. This practically gives it away, since there is only one Nintendo based animation in the entire world.

It's gotta be Alex Kidd in Shinobi World. Why? Because Mario is practically one of the bosses. // Also, there is more than one Nintendo based animation: - Captain N - The Super Mario Bros. Super Show - Super Mario Bros. 3 - The Legend of Zelda Non-animations: - Mario Bros. movie. - The Wizard There might even be MORE than what I've listed.

Wyrdwad: Would that be Mystery Quest? It sounds a lot like it, even if some of the details are slightly off.

I probably would've been stumped (if I were around) unless you mentioned pie. Eh... next? System: NES Genre: Platformer Premise: You're a bird, freeing caged birds. It was also released for other systems, but I'm looking specifically for the NES title answer. Go!

Nobody got mine right. It has nothing to do with Alex kid
SMS = Sega Master system/mark III The animation features Non-Nintendo characters inside the NES. Not a live action anything. Asides the intro. The name of the game pops up, in the series when they go to that place. However it is more like a prodigy or parody of that Nintendo game.
The majority of the game takes place in a Jungle.

Also, since it was mentioned but not linked... have some Mystery Quest, so you can see JUST HOW WRONG I WAS about every single detail I mentioned! Unfortunately, all the dungeon gameplay vids are "let's plays" or "talkthroughs." And those suck, so I'm not linking them. -Tom 1) it is not nice to submit anyone to Mystery Quest. That's just mean.. like making them play Wizards and Warriors X Fortress of Fear 2) not surprising that derived videos suck given that the source material also sucks ;P 3) Yeah, I played Mystery Quest as a kid, had no clue where to go with it, and was the same way when I tried to revisit it as an adult. Now I know better but the game is just so boring (and you have to beat it 4 times in a row to get the real ending) that I never bothered to actually finish it

Well I think there are at least two of us here who are fond of Mystery Quest. I grew up with it and loved it, and while the real ending isn't worth it (the ending text changes; that's it!) I enjoyed it merely for the gameplay itself. It's not popular by any means, but it's a slice of retro gaming goodness I remember fondly, learning how to play, and eventually beat it! // I can, however, attest, that Wizards and Warriors Chapter X: Fortress of Fear was a mess! Whoever thought dumbing down the graphics and using an "overlap and die" engine was a great idea should be shot, plain and simple. The first three Wizards and Warriors games, for the NES, were amazing! They could've spent more time on the gameboy game. I'm hopeful to this day that they'll revisit Wizards and Warriors! Maybe for VC, or XBLA (since it was Rare, was it not? Acclaim was just the publisher, right?!), or something. Because of how the third game ended, if they chose that to be canon... surely it COULD work, it'd just be weird!

Hint:
Another Hint: The name of this game is part of the name of a place the above folks visit. Think about. It has nothing to do with Nintendo, but everything to do with Nintendo during the first part of the 1980's.

Ooh, my turn!
System: PC, DOS (though apparently it got ported to a console, surprisingly...) Genre: Side-scroller/platformer
- It was a shareware game. (I don't remember if I downloaded it from some BBS ages ago or if it was on one of those disks of shareware games that they used to sell at the supermarket for next to nothing, but either way, it was shareware.) - The main character attacked enemies by shooting fireballs. - The first area was outside of a castle, which scrolled over to a green field. - Health was restored by getting shields. - Despite the above two points, the main character's garb was not medieval.
This is actually one I was wondering about for the longest time, until I saw someone mention it in some corner of the Internet where I lurked.
I'll add more hints in a day or so if nobody guesses it.

MP83: That was fast! Yes, that's it.
Apparently, the NES version was ported by Color Dreams. I found it odd that there was an NES version at all (even by them), but I looked at Wikipedia and it seems like the person who made it also worked for Color Dreams, so I guess it's not too surprising.
