Wyrdwad: It sounds a LOT like Chip's Challenge, I have to wonder if the game wasn't built upon the same premise.

I remember dangerous dave, it was a nice a game, but I never remember a jungle area, or a tent. I remember it might have been called Jetpack something.
They uploaded the game, on the Mac computers ( or was it windows dos ) we had in our classrooms at the time. Those were the good days of the floopy disks.
