I really should just watch through it again, yeah.
Hell, I've got the week off! If I've got time after I finish No More Heroes Desperate Struggle, and there's still days left, I might as well do a marathon!

I'm reading Detective Conan, Berserk, and 20th Century Boys.
Detective Conan is simple, and nice, because I can read a bite-sized chapter, and then have my fill of mystery for a little while.
Berserk is awesome OF COURSE, but I'm at the start so it is mostly just "Hey hey, I wonder what they did with this episode, OH so it wasn't a girl getting raped it was Puck" and stuff like that, so it is fairly simple stuff. Really, I'm mostly excited for when I get past that part, then it'll be really exciting and such.
I'm LOVING 20th Century Boys, and I'm only at the 3rd chapter. The 2nd made me tear up, if only because of the nostalgia of the characters. "Friend"... This is a mystery, which I can't wait to get further into. It feels so "real", y'know? Like "THIS COULD'VE HAPPENED TO PEOPLE" but then in the 90s sections it is like "MAN THEIR LIVES ARE AVERAGE WTF THAT GUY IS DEAD" and it makes a very interesting thing.
Having a flashcard for DS is Jesus. Oh I should comment that I'm reading scanlated Berserk so I get Gatts and Griffisu, but whatever, I know who they are.

I've actually been watching a few new shows lately as well, with some friends. Watched the first 11 episodes of Ghost Hunt Man, I read that as Ghost Hound for a moment and was happy. More people need to watch that show, it was brilliant.

Not any anime, but I just watched the first episode of Keitai Sousakan 7... wow.
Miike does not fail to impress.

I, for some insanely unknown reason, am watching the uncensored version of Seikon no Qwaser. In case you don't know, it's an anime about a sect of Eastern Orthodox battle priest things who are hunting this ancient icon hidden at a Japanese school. The main character is a young Russian boy/fighter who shows up at the school to protect the icon...him and the other Qwasers each have the ability to manipulate different metals, but they have to suck "Soma" (breastmilk) from their chosen female partner. It's WEEEEEEIRD...but...kinda interesting. The characters are neat, and the story and battles are done well, even if the plot is made of 95% what the fuck.

Yeah...it's kinda weird. Alot. It's funny, too, because the TV version so incredibly censored they actually entire fights where all you see is a dramatic shot of the moon while the voices keep going, lol. Meanwhile, they air the uncensored version on the internet a week later and it's all boobs boobs and lots more boobs. There is NO inbetween, lol. You either get hentai level of boobage or Nice Boat.

Soma Drop (or just Soma) also appears in FFIV as an item that permanently raises the MP max. Red hot Rosa on Rydia action right there.
I've known about the series for a while (learning about the manga because of the freakin' retarded spelling of Quasar). But it has as much appeal to me as Queen's Blade or Ikkitousen (sp?). (ie- I'm an elitist. If I'm gonna read a borderline H series, it's gotta be by Oh Great!)

It's actually much older than that, wyrd. Soma is from the ancient Hindu and describes a drink made from some sort of ancient plants that was associated with the gods because of it's "energizing" qualities. In other words, it probably got you high, lol. So basically, when you see Soma, it pretty much means the drink of the gods.

I'd be surprised if Soma and Ambrosia weren't used side-by-side eventually. I mean, sure Soma is Hindu and Ambrosia is Greek (right?), but still. Food and drink of the gods!

Yes, actually, they're very similar. Soma came from Persia, so it's likely that the drink or the concept behind it traveled to Greece and inspired them. I first looked up Soma back when I heard the song by the Smashing Pumpkins...so I've known about it for a while, lol.

I'm watching Serial Experiments Lain for, I think, the third time. This anime is brilliant, clearly. One of the best I've ever seen.
I can't wait to see Despera, the new project from the team. (12 years later !)

I haven't had time for watching much anime lately, and I'm still miffed at the cocktease that was the School Rumble anime's ending. Maybe I'll have another of my 6-month breaks from anime. Last time I needed someone on the emotional level of Clannad to pull me back in after a break like that, though.

I've been focusing more on gaming and keeping a good workout schedule so anime/manga has been falling by the wayside. Not that this is a bad thing as when I go to catch up with everything I'll have plenty of chapters/episodes to watch at once! Dragon Ball Kai is best in 1-2 hour sessions
When I have watched anything in the last couple of weeks, it has been Zeta Gundam

Strangely enough (for me), I've been in the smae boat as schlag, and I say strange because I haven't really been physically active in probably 4 years, so I sought to change that and get in shapes. That said, I did buy some... Geijitsuka Art Design class. I think I mentioned that in an earlier post? I tracked down the first colume though, and read a bit of it. It's cute.

I have finally gotten hands on a remake of an old anime I've been wanting to watch for a long time, nyo. It's seriously awesome, nyo. That's seriously what all moe series should be like, nyo. Cheers, Madhouse, nyo. Well nyo, I think you know what the series is now, nyo.
