I really need to learn to avoid wyrd's non-spoiler-isms, because as hard as he tries not to spoil anything, he still does, kinda. XD On the bright side, I'm glad she's not the white witch all over again.

OH MY GODomgfloofy's warning in the Story Help thread didn't click until the actual final fights (which I played for fun and not seriously cuz I had every intention to continue grinding). I don't care of this is a spoiler because I don't want anyone else to fall into the same problem: It is in your very best interest NOT to neglect ANYONE'S skill levelling or purchasing their best armor and weapons.SEVEN is the only game that I know that DOES this to the player. ARGH. Damn you, Falcom!!!! Holy fuck, I have to now spend ANOTHER few hours grinding some characters. .... Maybe I'll just go and check if there are cheats for the game already so I can just use a max item cheat and fuse everything I need and get on with finishing it. ( Yeah, now I'm jaded enough that I WANT it to end. >:( ) I can probably manage with wimpy skills and wimpy level skills to get through things. The problem was that I was wholly unprepared. Was there any hints or warnings at some point in the game that this was going to happen? I mean, GEEZUS. Edit: Well, there ARE CWCheats but not the ones I want. Goddammit. :P I gotta do this the legit way!?

Final Fantasy VI rings a bell. :p The difference though is that you were made to use the characters throughout the game at various points MORE THAN ONCE so you'd be keeping up with their armor and weapons upgrades. Ys SEVEN doesn't have this, really. I mean, once I got everyone, I just stuck with the same 3 characters all the way afterward. :E! And in FFVI, you can go through all parts of the last fight with just the same group of 4 characters. :P I did that except Sabin keeled over on me when an enemy did committed suicide and took him along with him/it. :E I forgot who jumped in to take over his spot. :V Actually... Ys Seven's not the only game to do it. And the other game I can immediately think of was also a Falcom game. (You have to use all 16 characters at the final battle of Sora no Kiseki the 3rd.) Ugh. I wish there was some sort of warning beforehand though because I'm pretty sure most players DO NOT rotate the active roster constantly. >:( Still, SEVEN is a good game although I'm really tempted to throw it aside now because it'll take a while to get like 200+ of those stupid stones from the final dungeon for synthesis. *super curses~!* Edit: I forgot to mention something! I don't think anyone's mentioned this before but skills can be levelled up simply by executing them. >_> It doesn't matter if you hit or miss an enemy -- as long as you have SP, you can spam skills like no tomorrow at thin air and level them up that way. (I tested this with my party last night.) Kind of lame if you ask me. ._________. Sigh. Edit #2: Oh my! I think THIS is what I'm looking for. Uhuhuhuhuhu! ■合成で素材減らない _C0 MATERIAL NOT DEC _L 0x200BDAFC 0x00000000 (Quantity of materials used in synthesis do not decrease.) KEKEKEKEKEKEKEKEKE!!! >:3 Honestly, I've been playing the entire game on my slim (which only has OFW) mainly because I know the 1000 will kill my hands after a while. But for this final part of the game, I'm shoving the saved file onto the other stick. (Watch the game not load with the cheats running then y'all can do the Nelson haw-haw laugh at me. :V) Edit #3: It works! :D Gonna have the benched characters come in for a bit so I can have them learn all the skills. Just gotta see which ones are still missing after I bought up all the weapons from Isuka Village. :P Also! I just realized I can make infinite amounts of stat-boosting items. Not going to though. :P

XD On the bright side, I'm glad she's not the white witch all over again. Huh? What did I spoil? I thought I was doing pretty good! -Tom I managed to forget WHO, (Aisha?) but I'm convinced that something happens to her. Either she's a traitor, or she gets ill/hospitalized, or something happens in this plot-twist that makes her otherwise unusable. Actually, I don't have enough to go on, so it's not as bad as the white witch at all.

***EDIT BY WYRDWAD: Do not highlight the below text if you're concerned about Ys Seven spoilers! It is a MAJOR spoiler!***
About that:
Yes, it's Aisha. Her father, the duke, is murdered, and the corrupt prime minister prevents her from taking over. This is also why Adol is thrown in the arena, as he was blamed for the murder. From there, everything spirals downward, and it really DOES get insane. I'm not positive, but I think Aisha's locked up until later in the game, since she defended Adol and defied the prime minister.
Wait, that IS what you meant, right? x3

FINISHED THE GAME. Watching the credits now. :O
The last battle was only difficult with the wimpier characters but once I got to control the ones that I was beefing up, things went down pretty fast!! XD!!
Muhuhuhu. Level 66 Adol. XD
Say, why is it that every time someone is hurt, they're holding onto their arm? ^^;;;
Now back to translating the quest stuff. ^^;

I brought Elk home, and then rescued some blue-haired chick. And then I got to some dead-end with boulders that Dogi wouldn't crush... so I went back to town... I'm so confused, and lost. // Oh yeah, and some dialogue in that regal-looking place, some dudes are talking and I'm guessing Adol and Dogi don't want to be in there. I don't know why though. I kinda figured this would be like bringing the crystals to Dorman in Ys V, but... well it just doesn't make any sense to me at all. I'm losing my patience. // Ohhh... okay so I talked to baldy and got this letter/scroll/parchment thingy... mmmhmm... now what... // New party member... okay, okay... hmmm... but I don't see how arrows are going to get through that area of boulders... // OKAY... so I'm guessing that 5000G item will... provide light in the cave?! XD Dangit! I need cash... // Obviously, I'm making progress. XD Took a while... that's the second time I got lost in the game though. The first time was... laughably at the very beginning. This and V need translations, stat!

Friends, remind me -- does ANY NPC get kidnapped or get captured in this game? ^^; I think this is the very first Ys game that took this route!
Unsavory: It's pretty much a trend that you visit new village -> go to the dungeon near it -> beat boss -> go back to village or Altago City -> head to next village -> go to dungeon -> beat boss ... well, you get the point. XD

I haven't played this yet but I'm already obsessing. I saw a headline that read - "Can magnificent Seven rescue the reputation of Microsoft?"
Obviously Windows 7 but I thought "You never know!"

On my second playthrough I'm finding myself switching characters out alot more just because. They're all so fun to play as; in fact, most of them are more fun than Adol..
Except for Myshera. I still hate using her

Really?! Wow... I love using Mishera. Her attacks are REALLY FREAKING POWERFUL. Like, I'm actually starting to prefer using her to Aisha, which I never thought would happen... (Though a lot of that is the Sigrune factor - sure, her attacks and such may be the same as Aisha's, but I don't LIKE her as much, so I'm much less inclined to use her!) ;) I don't hate using Mishera but she shoots slower than Aisha/Sigroon and some of her skills take a while to execute. Delays for me are no-nos. I eventually switched out Dogi cuz of that. (I kept him in the active party for a good while just on principle though. XD)

Mishera is a freakin' powerhouse. The speed difference between her and Aisha is pretty much negligible because of that, and it's really not that much of a difference anyway. She also has a TON of AoE skills.

Pssh. I never had much problems taking down enemies with Aisha or Sigroon. Besides, enemies hardly attacked in groups (on Normal difficulty) so area of effect abilities are kind of eh for me in this case.
Tornado (I think it was -- the giant swirling wind one) is sort of neat though in that it drags in enemies. Still I preferred ganging up on one enemy at a time. XD!
However, Mishera's ultimate skill is damn nifty! I managed to get it in a few times during the final battle thanks to the other 2 characters armed with the walk/run-to-replenish-SP item equipped. XD
I guess we just all play differently, eh!??!?!!?!?!?

Indeed. I'm starting to do something I don't do often -- dodge and run away and avoid like crazy. Mostly because of the largeness of the game, and feeling lazy like I sometimes get in most turn-based RPGs. XD
I can finally teleport now! And ummm... Geis kinda went somewhere... and.... there's soldiers everywhere. So I'm kinda lost again. XD
