Well, games aren't slim pickings if you get a PSP. In fact, thanks to emulators and the PSP's own library, your backlog will probably grow so large it'll explode.

Well, what I mean is more that I can't really afford anything. And I don't believe in CFW, sorry. Just because, I'd be so scared of fucking up.
Dreamcast awaits!

Ah, well, I wouldn't mind walking you through the process step-by-step if you ever got a PSP. It really isn't possible to screw up if you have instructions. I mean, it's not like there's an incorrect way to press x that makes your PSP explode instead of installing CFW. But if you don't want to, that's your choice too.

Heheheh.
I'll look into getting my friend's PSP, he was offering it to me cheap.
All this comes down to is what money my father gives me and what money I get from other family.

Don't bother, it's absolutely awful. No. Yes. See, I can type one word replies too. Actually wyrd, recent CFW eliminates most hassle with games requiring new firmware. Like on 5.50 CFW's, you can run UMDs requiring 6.10+, from what I gather. I'm using the most recent CFW so I'm all set. There are still occasionally times where CFW falls behind though. I mean the same was said before Ys 7 came out, pretty much everyone was still using the last DA CFW and not having any problems, then that one new version put a spanner in the works for a while until people worked out how to break it. Sure it's only an occasional problem, but that was no comfort to the people who had to wait a week to play their Ys 7 copies

Considering I have like 20+ games to play thanks to CFW, I'm sure I can wait an extra week, AND save 50 bucks doing it, for some new releases.
And it's not really effective unless it's a one-word post...!

I have like, 60+ games to play, *without* CFW. It's called "over-spending." That, and finding good deals. (But mostly over-spending!) -Tom Good heavens, and I thought my backlog was bad. Actually, if I actually sat down and counted the games I'm interested in playing, I would probably reach numbers around 60 too, but I only have about 25 of those special "man, I GOTTA play this!" titles I can always recall off the top of my head.

lmao, my backlog is in the high hundreds dude. I'll never finish all of my games, and if I do, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
Smithee, it depends on where and how you find you DC iso. Some are self boot, while others need a boot disk (Utopia, or Gameshark). I would suggest burning a Utopia (You can't buy it, only burn), as it makes your DC region free.

I was including PS1, PSP and SNES games, but Wii, PS2, PS3 and whatever are entirely different beasts. And together they'd form a chimera (with more than three heads!) to end all things.

Really? Wow, that's the first bad thing I've ever heard about the GC version of that game. -Tom I mean, it's still a great game because Skies is a great game. Incredible, even. However, after seeing all of the cool extra content, I ended up doing my subsequent playthroughs on the original version because the sound quality is head and shoulders above its Cube counterpart

Hahaha, I guess. That stuff is supposed to be all natural! But damn, did it help... I also hadn't slept the night before, so it worse than usual. Sometimes, it can be pretty bad though, like the time I kept drifting in and out of sleep and taking more (bad idea), and I think I took like six, total? I felt my organs floating outside of my body and stuff, and really distant after that.
It was weird, but ehh, never again.

I wonder how many people use CFW mainly for emulation on the PSP though? :P
Man, I should get back to Breath of Fire IV one day ...
