I hate shity/boring short games too, but maybe that's just me.

The worst part though is when an RPG's battle system gets old and you're tired of random battles. Unfortunately, a LOT of RPGs are like that.

True that. That's why I hate random encounters. If encounters are avoidable, I can pace it so I don't get bored with the battle system at some point during the game. Random encounters are especially bad for me since I like to go around and explore every nook and cranny of a dungeon, which often results in my party being fiercely overlevelled.

I hear Nocturne has a notoriously high encounter rate, actually. If it's anything like Persona PSP, then the encounter rate alone would be enough to make me dislike the game. It was just too much for me.

I disagree may be that I really like challenging games (like the previous two main SMT games for SNES, Phantasy Star 2, and classic FF 1). So I expect to go in and spend at least some hours getting to know the system. except for the insane dungeons, I found the first SMT very very easy, the bosses are extremely weak. The big problem I have with videogames and other media is that I forget almost everything after a short period of time. I have no problem with long games, tough, in fact, the majority of the games i play is 50+ hours long that's exaclty what happens to me, with almost every game I play, finished or not. The longer is the game the more plot i am probably able to remember XD, that's why I want to replay the whole Ys saga altoghether ( I need a recap.)... sooner or later I'll do it
