It is before; after, only silence.

Okay, I have one more song I need to know the location of, Feel Blue. Where's that play in Ys2?
Oh, and if anyone has a save at the Bell Tower when you have to save the one girl before she's executed? Yeah, I could use a copy of that too.

Feel Blue used to play when you talked to Jira, but since he doesn't have a portrait in Complete, it doesn't play there anymore. It took me a while to remember where else it played, and there I found it: Hadat's house. ifile.it/phmcuv1The save there is after you had any business in that tower, but the music's still the same. I also included another save I had, in case you want to see how it is when you're trying to save the girl. Only problem, you have to defeat Zava on Nightmare mode for that.

Zava on Nightmare --> not hard
Just lit the bats with FAIA!! xD
And if you have trouble, just keep leveling up ~ It's fast and easy there: Spam "Stop Magic" with the Ring of Ease (green ring) on + bump mindlessly + recharge magic when necessary in the Goddesses' Palace located to the left.

Well, that makes saves for every single part of Ys2 I need! While I expect a busy weekend, I'll try to do what I can over it to get started on this. I think that due to other obligations I have, Ys2 will take longer, but I promise I'll try to get it done as soon as possible.
My friend has whipped up a soundtrack installer for Ys1, it weighs in at about 120 megs right now, I imagine Ys2 will be a bit bigger sadly.
Anyway, once Ys2 is done, we'll see about a way to distribute these packages, as it stands they're installers with MP3s that are decompressed on installation, as well as the needed .POS files. To make life easier, it will actually search for an installation of YS1&2 Complete and copy the files to the proper location automatically. Simple, eh? Once I start on Ys2's conversion, I'll have a realtime progress posting like the one I did for Ys1, keep an eye out!

And what will you be replacing, the Midi or the Wave music?

Hmm, that makes sense...

Or, if you were a masochist, you could possibly hack the game to add it as a third option?

Okay guys! Starting the conversion of 2 finally, I'll have a tracklist/status on this post soon, so you can watch it and see how I'm coming along.
Lance Village, please do not become the next Palace...
EDIT:Okay, wait a second. Isn't Lilia's theme (trackname: Lilia) supposed to play when Adol first meets Lilia after arriving in Ys, barely conscious? Because I've got NO audio here...
If that's not the case, where DOES it play? Oh right, tracklist.
01. To Make the End of Battle-Done, but...Um...Does it ever get USED outside of the FMV which this won't apply to?
02. Lilia-Done without having to even touch it. Track lengths were identical, as were the loop points. ...Where is this even used...?
03. Too Full with Love-Done, but nearly drove me insane trying to find the "sweet spot" for looping. Took 15 tries, argh.
04. Apathetic Story-Done. That one was pretty easy too, whew.
05. May I Help You?-Done. Also easy!
06. Feel Blue-Done. Also easy.
07. Ruins of Moondoria-DONE! That was a tough one to loop.
08. Noble District of Toal-Done. Took a few tries but wasn't that hard.
09. Rest in Peace-Done.
10. Rastine Mines-Done.
11. Protectors-Done.
12. Ice Ridge of Noltia-Done.
13. Inside the Ice Wall-Done.
14. Moat of Burnedbless-Done
15. Tender People-Done
16. Palace of Solomon-Done
17. Subterranean Canal-Done
18. Campanile of Lane-Done
19. Pressure Road-Done

Yeah, I'm not getting audio for Lilia at all. Even using the Alternative Soundtrack from Deuce leaves me with nothing.

I guess Lilia also plays when you meet her in that place that overlooks Solomon Shrine and the Ice Ridge of Noltia.
And are you sure To Make the End of Battle doesn't work for the FMV? I mean, why would it even be there in the wave file if wasn't for that?

No idea on the .wav file existing for the song, but it is there so...It'll be included, even if it's redundant.
The .wav is NOT used for the fmv though, you can easily confirm this by actually opening the .avi file which has the song within it. But yeah, I'm not getting any music when I first start a new game until Adol wakes up in Banoa's house, at which point Apathetic Story plays. I could SWEAR you heard Lilia before this though.

Yeah, Lilia does play when she first finds you lying on the ground, after To Make the End of Battle. But it also plays in-game, when you meet Lilia in that place near Rance Village.

Odd, wonder why it's not playing for me then...The opening cutscene of Lilia finding Adol has NO music for me, at all. Anyway, it shouldn't be a huge deal for testing the loop, the song fades out and then starts from the beginning anyway, so no looping is really required. Though if someone could figure out why the song refuses to play, that'd be awesome. Not really gonna affect the overall project though.

Well, I'm guessing it must be for the same reason that To Make the End of Battle doesn't play. But if you want to test Lilia's looping, though, try that other part when it plays.

Yeah, just checked the AVI file and your right, I was confused there. I thought that maybe the Lilia scene was part of the FMV, but it isn't. Pretty strange though, the presence of To Make on the wave folder.

Yeah, Wyrd nailed it on the head. 01 is just a redundant track, whereas 02 doesn't play, either the Chronicles rip OR Deuce's.

Maybe they just put it there to make the whole soundtrack available with the game. Though the .pos file is kinda useless that way. But what's really baffling is why should Lilia stop playing in the intro just because you changed the soundtrack.

Ok, some good news. I converted my mp3 of Lilia into wave using Winamp and replaced the file and it worked perfectly. Maybe your problem had something to do with the pos editor, I don't know.
Also, I'm all for putting the new version of To Make the End of Battle in the FMV as it is the awesomz. Just be sure to synch it well to the video as the pacing of the images and the music are pretty well linked.
