Sweet, cloth map!
I oughta look into that bidness, Seldane.
Also, Nunuu, Ultima VI for SNES did have VII's keyword system. Further: ARE YOU REALLY SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THAT, AVATAR?

Sweet, cloth map! I oughta look into that bidness, Seldane. Also, Nunuu, Ultima VI for SNES did have VII's keyword system. Further: ARE YOU REALLY SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THAT, AVATAR? SPAM SPAM SPAM HUMBUG!! >:E Oh! There was little Codex coin too that came with V too, I see! XD The trilogy "boxset" for IV - VI that came with a million 3.5" floopy disks also had the same stuff! ^o^ (The box was heavy. X_X) Later, with the PC version of The Black Gate, it came with a map and a coin of the Fellowship symbol, I think! I gotta dig up this stuff but all the games are in boxes and stacked so high in the basement. :( Health and safety hazard! :((((( Ah, Warriors of Destiny was love. 'Twas my first Ultima game. <3 I loved making the Avatar stand in front of each dungeon and scream the corresponding Word of Power just to watch the screen shake. :D Then, I'd randomly summon the Shadowlords just to unleash them on the unsuspecting townspeople! The Cowardice one was the best! I'd deliberately chase after NPCs just to watch them run away screaming! XD Finally, I'd go and harass Lord Blackthorn for fun! He was such a jolly fellow! (Why are there so many lava pits in that place? Isn't it dangerous (not to mention extremely hot) to live in a place like that? What if you're sleepwalking or drunk!? You might accidentally fall in! :(

Ultima VI = an orb of the moons (made of black glass) ... What was this thread about again? :o Damnation! I missed that! But wait -- was the orb always black? I thought it was white or something and that the black stuff only came in VII with the Black Rock. Or maybe I'm thinking about moonstones? Oh duh, they seem to be the same thing. ^^ (http://www.ultimacollectors.info/orbtest.htm) I wanna create moongates and travel around the world! :((((((((((((((( And it's A-OK if this turns into an Ultima thread! :DDD

We already have an Ultima thread somewhere. The one who finds it will not get paid.... by me.

We already have an Ultima thread somewhere. The one who finds it will not get paid.... by me. I already did my share of searching yesterday for the crazy identity crisis and Dogi's own game threads so someone else that wants to not get paid must look for it! :O Yes! MUST! And hirm, now that I think about it, the Ultima series doesn't belong in this thread. I don't think any of them received poor ratings and reviews other than maybe Pagan and Ascension. Sort of random: The Dragon Edition of Ultima XI came with a crap ton of ... crap. I can't remember if there were any coins or medallions but there were tarot cards among other stuff! D: I wonder if that version is even worth anything? It'd be hell to ship it though cuz of the oversized box. >:(

I want to find that manga based off Ultima III. =[
Also, holy shit I want a fellowship medallion. If only because I found out how to kill Batlin in Black Gate, so I should get his place.

Also, holy shit I want a fellowship medallion. If only because I found out how to kill Batlin in Black Gate, so I should get his place. I killed the guy a few times with debug mode! He's such a bastard that he deserves to multiple deaths!! >:O The best is in Serpent Isle though! I got to him long before the Wall of Lights so I killed him! (Cheating is so fun!) Of course, he still appeared at the time and place he was supposed to later on as dictated by the story. :( Anyway, I can't remember if I sent Batlin to his grave the "legit" way in U7. I do recall doing the plaque drop on Lord British, however!

Yep, the Vic Viper's companion (AKA Player 2) is the Lord British.
Also, the legitimate way to kill Batlin in the Black Gates? Use Armageddon in the final battle. It will kill him dead, and you'll get the normal ending anyways.

Did anyone ever liked the following games, R-type series Darius Gradius Cybernator Lagoon Fire emblem odin sphere and The guardian legend. I feel like my family and I are the only ones who like. Ultima is also the strongest magic spell in FF.(except Merton from ff6 unless nobody is wearing fire shields which would heal everybody otherwise.)

Darius, Cybernator, Lagoon, Odin Sphere, and ESPECIALLY the Guardian Legend are excellent games. Especially The Guardian Legend.
Shit, I made a thread about it some time ago.
Edit: Gradius and especially R-Type are too much for me; I'm no good at shooters. As for Fire Emblem, I'm playing the first GBA one, and I have a love-hate relationship with it.

Gradius and R-type are shooters for the extremists. I could barely play R-type since most of the terrains get me, but Gradius is different cause you have more of a chance in dodging but thousands of barraged bullets will get you eventually and when you loose all your power-ups you can't get any further.
I love fire emblem but lately I'm a little disappointed when I found out theres 10 of the games and 6 of them (supposedly the best) are never going to be translated to america except the first one thats coming out for the ds. When I finished the fourth fire emblem I was pissed cause the ending wasn't translated so I'll never know what happens and theres a better Gba game where roy was in it and it never came to america, they've translated it for an emulator but its 95% done and I don't want to go threw with no ending again. Only two fire emblem games were translated from japan cause nobody is up on translating.I understand the love hate relation cause its a hard game cause once your character dies you have to start all over cause you need that guy and you can't bring them back.(in some older prequels there is some staffs that could resurrect fallen allies rarely) Yeah thats what makes the game hard but the classes, action, story, and strategy makes up for it in my opinion. I've finished geanology of the holy war, blazing swords, sacred stone, and am working on path of radiance and soon dawn of radiance.

I have, and LOVE the Gradius collection; but I don't think "They think the game sucks". It's still a must-have for any Gradius fan! Plus, it has a save feature for those of you who can't continue playing after getting your ship (and all of its beautiful upgrades) blasted to hell. They need to do a Zero Wing release with that feature in mind!! Also, Lagoon was okay. Granted, it wasn't perfect, but it was still a decent game for its time, with an amateurish plot. It's more or less a novelty these days, but I remember how beautiful it was back then. I also remember my Dad saying he was going to give the villain a Thor butt. XD Yay for corny horrible cheesy Dad-humor. An honorable mention: Beyond Oasis! Summon elemental creatures, dive into deep dungeons, and smite huge nasties from a LoZ perspective! Listen to Ali and the enemies' Peewee Herman-esque voices! Find literally HUNDREDS of secrets, including infinite use weapons! Do all of this while performing special moves ala Street Fighter. One of the bestest, most awesomest titles I've ever encountered! ...and I've never played the follow-up title. *bangs his head on the wall*

Lagoon is famous on this board. Well-liked overall. I am currently replaying it again (for the 10th time, at least). Tons of fun! But that's a lot because of nostalgia too, because I admit that it isn't all that great (but not bad either!).

I looked at it on gamefaqs and it looks good, but it also looks like if I didn't play it in the 90's I won't have the "patience" to play it.
Yeah I want that gradius collection bad... I am going to pick it up soon I swear it!!
And when the hell did Princess Crown get a port to the psp. I have the Saturn version but if its been done well, I may have to pick that one up too.
Good News all around for today from the gaming board!!

Yeah, I can imagine it being very hard to like Lagoon if you don't have any nostalgic feelings for it.

Was it made from falcom cause most of the equipment was from Ys 3 and they look the same too?

Naw, it was made by a small company called "Zoom" for X68000. It's their only RPG and a total Ys rip off. The SNES port by Kemco (they ported many Zoom games to SNES) was de-Ys-ified. The original X68000 version features a bump fighting system similiar to Ys 1-2 which was removed and replaced with the tooth pick battle system.
