I saw Wall-E yesterday! Loved it lots especially M-O~! ^o^
Although those concerns wyrdwad noted make sense (except the thing about the plot going all over the place -- I was able to follow it just fine), I never even thought about them! XD Watching Eve shoot all over the place was neat plus it made for fun poses for the cameras. ("CAUTION!" XD) And I think she has a blaster to protect herself from potential threats while doing her probing work, BTW. :P
Afterall, who says that Eves are only deployed to Earth?

Yay for one big advertising campaign with a weak storyline. Nintendo should do that again like... next time they unveil something HUGE. "GET YOUR EYES AND EARS READY FOOOOR.... ZEEEELLLLLDAAAAAAA!!!! *crowd goes wild*" He was great in Indy 4. I dunno why people give him so much flack... -Tom Ah, I missed that earlier. Well, it's kindof like taking Jim Carrey, and putting him in "Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind", "Batman" or "The Number 23". Of course, he's a great actor, and a great comedian... but you don't expect him to be serious, or play serious roles that well. It's a bad example though, as Shia isn't as renowned, as famous, or as awesome infact, as Jim Carrey. That's like trying to call a pig "Jesus" -- sorry, but the pig's a pig no matter what you call him. As such, I only see Shia working well in Disney teen comedy shows and Nickelodeon movies... but that's just me. He did alright in Constantine -- he was the idiot wannabe, which is the role I think he is best suited for.

The only thing I remembered of Jim Carey was the Mask. Yeah that's the impression he left me. Other than that, well he's just some comedian with a rubber face. To each his own really.
Anyway, just watched Hellboy 2.. and man what a cheese fest. The first movie was way more serious in tone than this one. The Big Red Giant and Aquaman were acting like total bafoons throughout the whole show.
And what is with Germans and automated mechanical spaceman costumes? But I have to admit, the voice acting for the German newcomer in the movie is freaking hilarious.
The graphics and fight scenes are awesome as expected but the whole movie reminded me more of Narnia than Constantine...
Nevertheless, I enjoyed watching it although the goddamn cinema turned on the sound too loud and I had a splitting headache throughout.

Oh mah gawd! Wyrdwad, you haven't watched Transformers??!!!??!?!
Dude, that's just... wrong man. Yeah like what justinzero says, you MUST watch it.
Hell, go do yourself a favour, get a huge widescreen lcd tv, get a blu ray/hd dvd combo player and buy the Transformers hd dvd if you haven't.
Or just get the dvd since hddvd is kinda dead now. And be blown by the movie ,man. Seriously.

Transformers is pretty spiffy. But now Wyrdy will look for reasons to hate it because we all like it. =[
If nothing else, wossname the Transformers Main Character actor guy was way more amusing than Spike or Chip. Although he lacked a hardhat, which is lamentable.

I can't wait for the new X-Files, and do you not agree that Scully is looking very "hot" these days. There are tix on auction to join her at the LA opening on Ebay. I sure wish I had a couple grand to spare.

I'm also on that "haven't seen the Transformers movie" train. I'll be on that train for a long time -- because I don't really care for mechs and crap... but I do like transforming animals. X) Beast Wars, woo! X)

The guy who took me to see Transformers grew up on Beast Wars; the first generation was before his time, and he really enjoyed it.

Terminator 2 was on the American Movie Channel tonight. Such a great movie! I love when Arne throws that guy into the window in the psyche ward, and t1000 shoving this arm through the milk container into the guys head.... damn I miss the blood and gore movie age. I am getting really bored with the super special effects, and shitty Harry Potter films today.

Eh, Transformers was okei. You just have to remember it's a kid's movie since I found myself rolling my eyes with the stupid jokes during that night scene at the guy's home.
You know, I've suddenly developed the urge to see Enchanted. It looks like it's full of cheese but in the goofy fun kind of way! :DDDDDDD
Aw man, my bro doesn't have the movie. Looks like I'll either have to rent it or pirate it or have him buy the bootleg for it at the chinese mall. >_>
I ... don't understand the reasoning for paying money for bootlegged material when you can just download the stuff online for free. (I guess I should add this in the baffling thread.)
Bah, it's off to mininova I go.

Dark Knight- Words cannot describe how good this movie is. I was left awe-struck after seeing it. I don't think I've ever thought about a movie like this before; but this was just a work of art.

Enchanted is EXCELLENT. If it looks good to you in previews, then you're sure to like it... it's just fun and wholesome and sweet and awesome. (: Oh lord, that movie was FAR too goofy. It was definitely fun but Robert frustrated me. I kept thinking how unrealistic his reaction was to Giselle's appearance and attitude. He should have thrown her into a mental institution! But then, it seemed like everytime he tried to make her go away, he would look at her with those sad eyes, sigh a bit, and then take her back. 9_9 I guess the analogy would be like him taking in a homeless cat? ^^;;;;;;;;;;; But yeah, I know it's a live-action cartoon so there's a lot of unbelievable stuff ... like the park! I loved the black singers that kept following Giselle EVERYWHERE and singing. ^O^~~~

That's the thing. I not only view movies as mediums for entertainment, but as mediums to engender introspective and extrospective thoughts. I really love to contemplate what writers want to convey when they put something in a movie, game, song or book, and I just loved the Dark Knight for how it successfully brought many things to the table and created a movie that wasn't a complete mess. I put this mind set on when coming into a movie like this, but I turn it off when viewing, say, Superbad.
I can completely see your point though. I might be alone with this thinking, but I really enjoyed the movie and I recommend it.

Last movie I saw: Journey to the Center of the Earth. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet and is wondering- it actually has very little to do with the novel itself and is more of a family adventure flick than any kind of action flick.
All in all, it wasn't bad but not particularly memorable.
