I just found this picture. It's probably that a remake of Ys 1&2 for PSP(not confirmed) will be released this summer, and Ys Seven will come out in September.

I must say that's pretty cool! I'm up for another Ys I + II release, haha! That picture features artwork from every Ys game, however -- you don't suppose this means that Falcom plans on giving them *all* a console release, do you?

I wonder if that's the official Ys Seven Logo! Can't wait for this! Yay for Dawn of Ys artwork at the top! I had a dream last night where I got to see footage from Ys 7. Adol was running along this walkway and approached a pedestal, and I remember a character that looked like Sephiroth was shown.

It was actually Lloyd. Or Psaro.

Another Ys I and II release.... Come on Falcom, instead of whoring the first 2 games out, why not get to work on some decent ports of the later games.

Question: Does Tonkinhouse even exist at all anymore?

Huh. Wonder where they leaves Mask of the Sun? Probably in Falcom's hands, what with A New Theory, or whatever the lousy PS2 game was, I guess.

Interesting choice for the Ys 7 logo, if that is the one. It looks like script to me, similar to a form of Arabic written script perhaps. I wonder if that would place Adol's next adventure somewhere east of the Europa region of the Ys world map. Tis' all speculation of course. : )
Anyhow, nice find!

MP83 has a good point. Do you see that strange letter in the center that looks like y', between Ys and seven? Well consider this: There's no proper capitalization, the apostrophe looks photoshopped (it's split exactly in the center) and... well I've got nothing outside of that. ;P

After doing some research, I think Wyrdy's onto something. I tried a direct search for matching images, got nothing. And I GISed it, no joy.
Can you link where you got that?
Edit: Make that MP and Maggot.

I found the picture from 2ch. It seems that this picture was taken in the subway. Anyway, the information of new title will be announced next week, so we can find out the answer very soon.

It looks legit enough to me. (Has anyone heard of the Edison scandal? Were they try to convince everyone that the photos are shopped?)
But how many version of Ys 1 & 2? are there? 8?

That we will. Thanks for the data on where it came from! It doesn't really help or hurt authenticity, but it's nice to learn where it came from. Kinda surprised there aren't any blogs with something like that on it, though.

I agree with MP83 that something about the picture looks fake-ish. Actually that "something" would be all these Ys artworks around the logo. Like, Ys ORIGIN?? Ys IV, Ys V... ok, but it's Ys I/II remake and Ys 7 we are talking about. Anyway, since it came from haibara, the Falcom News Guy, I doubt it's fake. xD (But anything coming out from all these "channels" like 4chan, 2chan etc. are always suspicious.) Oh, also, very well noticed, GMF!! Yay for Ys IV DoY artwork instead of MotS!! (I love both anyway, mind you people...)

Considering my disappointment with Ys I & II DS, another remake of them for the PSP would actually be really cool... and if it's Falcom themselves doing it, I can't imagine it'll share the same fate as its DS counterpart. Hopefully, though, it'll share the same localization effort, at least! And that Ys 7 logo looks *gorgeous*. I hope it is indeed real. I'm quite excited now. -Tom Yeah, the PSP does have magical powers that make games so much better to play. I think I speak for the entire NA/EU fans when I say it would be better to get Ys IV, V, YsF, or YsO in English instead of another Ys I/II port, Magical console or not.

That would be cool I guess. It worked for Ys III, but Ys III was very different than what YsF turned out to be, which was great.

My prediction: Falcom will release *every* Ys game on the PSP, one by one. In order. Your prediction?! Don't you mean my prediction?
