Kate's version of the Ronfaure theme is my absolute favorite. Bonds of Sea and Fire is a close second!

I'll talk about two things I wanted to see live but couldn't.
First was Metallica. It sucks that I couldn't see them, but it isn't bothering me as much as I thought it would... But added to that is that I couldn't go see Trans-Siberian Orchestra who are playing tonight in Ottawa, but I found out too late... Man the mix of rock and classical music is SO good. Lame.

I was gonna say, did you guys know that TSO and Savatage are basically the same band? But it looks like you beat me to it, with that Hall of the Mountain King link. I used to be pretty obsessed with Savatage. Though I've seen them live, and yeah... I hope TSO is better than them, in live shows. Because damn, that Savatage concert was AWFUL. -Tom That bad, huh? That's pretty lame, although I hear TSO is much better, as far as I know. It is cool too, even Sebastian Bach was with them (I dunno about now, but he at least introduced them!)

Hans Zimmer rules all.
Loved this song the very time I heard it.
Not Hans Zimmer but also rules:

Hans Zimmer!!! <3 <3<3
Also, Cirque du Soleil is amazing. I got to see Varekai a couple years ago when it came to town. Unforgettably awesome experience, seeing that stuff live. And there's not a bad seat in the house, to boot. ^_^
Randomly, one of my favorite melodies ever:

Okay. There is no freaking way I can resist promoting them here.
I found an Italian prog metal band a few days ago that I am insanely addicted to. Their name is Chaoswave. They're like a proggier Nevermore with more bass and female vocals in tandem with the standard male vocals.
The problem? They're VERY obscure, so there's really only two songs of theirs on YT apart from some mediocre-quality live recordings. Although, I admit they're damn good live, too.
It's not their best song by any means, but it has a music video and the catchiest freaking solo I've heard in months.
The bass is kind-of annoying in this version of the track, but it's still epic.
GO BUY THEIR ALBUMS NOW D8

This is part of why I love Pain of Salvation so much. It ages like a fine wine, just more rapidly (Or so they say! I happen to hate wine, lawl.). The more you hear it, the better it gets! Honestly, I don't think I was terribly fond of *anything* they did at first, only exception being the song "Dryad of the Woods", if only because that song is so positively beautiful. I slowly went from album to album over time, giving each one some good listening time and I have yet to have anything fail to grow on me. In the case of Linoleum, as soon as I heard that characteristic, old-school guitar riff at the opening of the title track, I was like "Are they seriously forcing a classic rock sound?" They had said their new album would sound like a handful of classic rock artists meshed into the PoS style, but ... I wasn't expecting that, haha. Lo and behold, I absolutely love it now. Only took two listens for me to appreciate that, though. An album like Scarsick or BE might take a bit longer for most to learn to love, but they're just as good as the likes of The Perfect Element or Remedy Lane. They're just different. Everything post-Remedy Lane for them is doing something different, which I like. So I can't wait to hear Road Salt in its entirety. ... I do have to admit, I'm not too terribly fond of One Hour By the Concrete Lake as a whole. A few songs, maybe... I should give that one more love and try to see what it is I'm missing. ALSOOOOOOOOOO. Holy shit @ Savage Garden. Now there's a band I haven't listened to in YEARSSSSSS. I had to be in primary school when I heard them last! *listens* edit: I'd just like to point out that I'm a moron, because One Hour By the Concrete Lake is currently reducing my mind to a inconsistent puddle of goo.

Today's promotion:
FREAK KITCHEN!!! One of the most badass bands ever to come out of Sweden.
Yeah, they're not very serious lyrically, but it works well with the bizarre musical style. It's like... some kind of hard rock with a tinge of progressiveness and plenty of weird shred.

I really wish I wasn't so lazy to check out all the vids linked in this thread cuz I've been meaning to check out more metal groups. :|
Think I'll just go through these pages and leave songs playing while I do stuff in Aria of Sorrow. XD
