Hmm.. well, as much as I would like life to be breathed in that is somewhat on topic.. there's not much to say without going off-topic or asking how the progress of it is (which is probably very annoying). I still check this thread when I end up thinking about it and then check every other week and then probably check it a few months after that. I hope that any of the people who may have been interested in possibly helping were contacted or contacted you back, though. That's... about as relevant as I can get. Plus, I think there's only so much you can say until it's all been said. |

We'll be addressing that at or by E3. If you think about it, though, Zwei 1 is from 2001, uses DirectX 5, has a gajillion integrated desktop apps (desktop apps!), and has a framerate selection of 30fps or... 15fps. So, uh, yeah. It's not necessary to play the games in order, however, as they take place on different continents and with different casts of characters. It's no more necessary to play Zwei 1 before Zwei 2 than it is to play most Ys games in order. We'll definitely be giving more info on Zwei as a whole, though, in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! -Tom |

Seems like XSEED got the license and game over for bofgame... sigh
After waiting all these years and now I'm having mix feelings. Shouldn't I be happy?

I'm also looking forward to playing it. Hoping there is a way for Zwei I to be distributed easily over something like Steam as well one of these days, but it's got a really strange interface which I could see being problematic.

IT'S OUT NOW!!! I've just seen it's on sale 10% on GOG... Been released since yesterday. Finally it's time for me to enjoy this game after errr 5 years of waiting?  This will be my very first time ever playing Zwei. Thanks everyone for sticking around with me...  Edit: Also released on steam with 10% off for $26.99. Edit2: And an update on BoF for the upcoming of Zwei!! Many great news keep coming. XD I can't wait to play it all. And BoF is not dead yet. It seems I was wrong about them, high probability they were behind the Zwei2 released... |

Zewii2's translation has been a journey for me, thanks for tancients/BOFgames for keeping my hopes alive. And thanks a million to Falcom for FINALLY putting it on Steam. It's been so damn long, 7 years!! And finally being able to enjoy zewii2 is like one big check mark out of my "games I badly want to play" list.
I like to dub this game Gurumin 2 and Nayuta no kiseqi as Gurumin 3, they're built on the same engine, have the same virbant graphics and cutesey artstyle, these are niche type of games are in the same vein as MML and the old school JRPGs before everything became ultra edgy like final fantasy.. I really wish the Ys series was this quirky and appealing in it's artstyle&tone.. Zewii2 is like the cuphead of JRPGs in terms of graphics&tone anyway.
