Anyway, uh, my question is, how long was Okami? I really love Clover (I'm still bitter about what critics did to God Hand) and I want to grab it while I still can, but I don't want to take on something that I know I probably won't finish anytime soon. Durrrrr, I forgot how much time I clocked in on that one. *loads up game* Of course, I'm silly and spend lots of time with the mini games and doodling on the kimono and mask so my last save was at the 62-hour mark. XD I still can't believe I managed to do all the digging mini games. The one in the underwater palace was especially brutal. ._.;;;;

Okami took me about 90 hours all told. But I did spend the extra time to collect everything, which probably accounted for 30 of those hours, maybe? D: I WOULD get all the beads but I know, FOR CERTAIN, that I WILL NOT be able to beat the stupid, uh, fox girl in the race through the forest no matter how hard I try. It takes me several tries just to jump through those holes in those twiggy ... wall ... things. Oh! Can't forget my Okami gameplay videos! I don't show any of the digging mini games though. :3 youtube.com/my_playlists?p=7805F5D4F7A3E1E5

I thought I'd never manage to beat her, either, but I did. It took some doing, and about 15 tries, but I did it. The final Blockhead was far, far more annoying... Thankfully, a digital camcorder is a wonderful thing to have sitting around. ;) Ahahaha! My dumb brain had me use a whiteboard marker on the monitor to mark all the locations of the dots. Unfortunately, brain did not retain the ORDER of which the dots appeared. :P pics.livejournal.com/nunuu/pic/001g1zc1/g7I actually got a few more beads after that since I went back and played some more with an older save game. :3

I remembered the first 3, the next guy remembered the next 3, and the other guy remembered the last 2. Cakewalk. And the race...it was annoying, and took a couple handfuls of tries, but it wasn't really that bad in the end. You can even go straight at some parts where the path zigzags and save time. But get caught by an icicle or snowball, and it's curtains. Hey, I was wondering about the statistics screen it gives you at the end. (Like this one here: pics.livejournal.com/nunuu/pic/001g0fer/g7)What's that question mark at the bottom mean? I got it too. Did I miss something? Was the thing small or big (in significance)?

I totally need to cheat my way around final blockhead. My memory simply cannot follow more than five of those dots before blanking out while trying to retain the former ones.
Also, the only digging game I found hard was the one with the treasure hunter outside Sei-An Bridge. The rest I could usually do the first or second time. Often the first.

Being a sort of Megaman fan, I decided to replay the entire series (or, what I own anyway - MMAC, MMX-X8, Legends and the Zero series - I was never a Battle Network fan, but I bought the first game anyway and never got the urge to play it again), so I'm starting with MM1 on GC and Zero on my DS. When I'm all done, I'll probably go out and buy ZX, although I've heard mixed impressions.

I've gotta do that some time as well... each game would only take and hour or two anyways. I never got in to Battle Network either. I was interested back when I rented the first game when it first came out, I really liked it (it might have been just because of them music though), but ever since it's become Capcom's Pokemon (Capcom + Pokemon = the god of cash cows), I've decided to leave it. I've still gotta play my ZX, ive seen some people call it the a real refresher in the series... best thing since the Zero series was started. The only really negative opinion I've seen on ZX is on n-sider.com.

Nosir, I just got a feel for it. And because by that point, you have all the abilities you need to keep tight control on things. I am fairly sure I got the dancer through on my first try, and if not I know it was the second try. YOU ARE MADE OF FAIL. GO BEAT FINAL BLOCKHEAD FOR ME.

I just started playing Xak III and Ys IV (thanks, Deuce and Nightwolve, for English patches). I really like them. It would be even better if a dash feature was present in both games, though.

There's a fast option in Ys IV. Speeds the whole game up. Try it if you haven't already.

Guitar Hero II. (Never played the first). Hard is kicking my butt. I have small(er) hands, and I never know if I should try to stretch (in vain) for the fifth fret or shift (and then completely mess up b/c I'm used to matching my fingers to the other colors).

The hard difficulty is such a huge leap over medium. Once you get the hang of it, you can get 5 stars on the songs.

Currently playing Ultima VII. Awesome game. :DEdit: Sadly, I can no longer sit through Ultima VII without nearly keeling over in boredom. My GOD, the amount of choices for answers and ALL THAT TEXT TO READ. AAIIEEEEE. If I ever reinstall the game (not sure how cuz I don't have a floppy disk drive at all -- not even a USB one), I'll be sure to spend most of my time editing everyone's business schedules and putting beds on top of houses and such. In U7 Part 2: Serpent Isle, I actually made good use of the farm in Monitor where I had everyone just go there at various times of the day and dance, play tag, sleep, etc. I even had the Gwanni joining in on the fun! XD

Ultima VII is sweet, but it's soooo easy to break, even without the Isle of Fire.
My god, I loved the Isle of Fire.
Serpent Isle is interesting...but, I dunno. It's a bit too linear for what it is.
Edit: And Serpent Isle gave us the Ring of Reagents. And holy Christ, is that some crazy crap. Especially when mixed with False Coin. I ended up getting every spell in existence just 'cause.
Also. Ultima VII Let me pimp out by getting six different boat deeds, and by pimping out a flying carpet. That carpet was fun.
Edit Edit: Motherfukckin' Armegeddon =D
