Hahaha Ys7 Flashguard window is huge. You can even Flashguard AFTER getting hit as long as the attack doesn't immediately knock down. And after you guard the first hit, you can just keep going with no real restrictions on the timing until multi-hit attacks are over. Only Flashguarding too early is dangerous.

I regret that I didn't pick up a bunch of extra copies of the Ys games to gift to friends at that price. At least 2 people I know picked up Ys Origin at $5 but I didn't know Felghana was also at 75% off at that time. damnit
Half Minute Hero went on sale at 66% off for the next couple of hours and I think I'm gonna pick it up. At least it has all the bonus modes from the PSP that I think were removed from the XBLA port.

Read a talk from the scientist who original wrote the paper on the Mayan calender cycle ending today. He said that nowhere do the Mayans mention an end of the world or apocalypse in reference to their calender cycle ending.
Everyone knows the world ends tomorrow (12/22) because nobody will be expecting it

I just started playing the Puzzle & Dragons US version. It's nice but I'm not sinking that much time into it yet. I kinda wonder how DJMax Technika works on the smaller Vita screen. Some of the higher songs in the arcade get nuts let alone having to worry about hitting smaller targets. It'd be like the Cheerleaders in Ouendan only worse! And I've been eyeing up Knights of Pen & Paper. Let me know what you think.

When I first joined up, I kept thinking it was Wyrdword for the longest time. But now I know that Tom is a Wad

They're both on Android. I am probably the biggest mobile gamer here or something. Well now I'm playing Transformers Legends. They made a bloody card collecting F2P game with enough polish to get me to play it for more than 2 days and the character art is actually pretty outstanding.

With my poor limited amount of time to play video games anymore, I gotta say I'm not paying much attention at things that are coming out:
1) Trails in the Sky SC on Steam! <_< What? I can dream can't I? 2) XBLA Virtual On: Operation Moonbase.. unless it comes out before 2013 3) Phantasy Star Online 2. The game has its ups and downs, having 100+ hours on the JP version already, and I complain about it being grind heavy.. but it is an action game, so the gameplay keeps me coming back. And when you finally solo a boss you've never beaten before, the gratification is wonderful. I just hope Sega of America doesn't fuck it up. Yes, that is actually what they've been told the most about PSO2: "Don't fuck it up" 4) Anti-Chamber. Seriously, it was supposed to be out already, but I guess no surprise at an indie game slipping in schedule. 5) La-Mulana remake on Steam. 6) Binding of Isaac console version.. that has a chance to be ported back to PC. But hey! Multiplayer! 7) Ys Celceta. 'cept for the part where I'll have to buy Sony's overpriced portable and their even more overpriced proprietary memory cards.
EDIT: And are we counting fan translations? 'Cause I have the physical games and am impatiently waiting for Zweii 2, Legend of Xanadu 1 & 2 EDIT 2: Remembered XBLA VO:OM and I'd also play Bravely Default if it does come out in the US

Another weekend where all free time for gaming went into PSO2. I've leveled Ranger to 40, Gunner to 20, unlocked the lv. 50 level cap, got to the last Client Order for the holiday event.. and am still nowhere near unlocking Dark Falz in the Story (I missed 2 Dark Falz attacks during the entire weekend!), haven't unlocked Very Hard, and haven't seen/unlocked the floating islands area yet
Though I'm getting the hang of the broken combination of Chain Hit + Weak Bullet. 30k damage to a boss because it stood still for 15 seconds? OK!

I echo the sentiment about the characters looking like generic animu now.

Double Dragon Neon, great game, & really funny, especially love the ending credits! Did you play alone or with someone else? I usually find those who are playing 2 Player are more likely to say that they love the game. Btw, I love the game Also at @seiken Densetsu 3: Back in college I played through all 3 of the routes and it is a fun game. More rigid than Secret of Mana for better and worse, amazing music, and amazing graphics.

My Steam Ys saves are all intact. Looks like after the Big Picture update, every game needs to be updated into a more "optimized" format and then a small DL needs to take place. That could attribute to why some save data was not being recognized by Steam if you didn't do the game update.
On the other hand, my blasted copy of Binding of Isaac still doesn't properly unlock Steam achievements. It extra sucks since I finally got Basement Boy last night (don't get hit in the first 2 levels)

Oh crap, I better check my stuff. I went to play Binding of Isaac last night and was in a weird state of some stuff unlocked, some not. I blamed it on this being my first time playing since the expansion came out, but still
Though if people are losing saves there'll be an uproar. I take it Felghana and Origin use local saves and not cloud saves?

I'm sure hardcore fans wouldn't have been happy about that, but DLC would have been a good idea. If there are "hardcore" fans who don't like that concept, then they're prolly also up in arms about being able to play Tails or the slight tweaks to the physics. I'd consider myself a hardcore fan of Sonic CD and I would've loved to have seen those stages. Of course, if I want the original game, I'd just pop my hardcore physical copy into my hardcore Sega CD on my hardcore CRT

I always think I make a great beta tester when it comes to secrecy. Mainly because I have no friends online, RL friends don't care about the games I play, and I just generally have no reason to share limited things to increase the size of my epeen or internet cred or whatever.
On the other hand, finding sufficient amounts of time is the tough part for me...

It may take about a month before it is all paid for and arrives (stupid holiday shipping delays), but I have just scored a fresh box of Ys Figure Collection 1 figures! Nyo~ho~ho!

I've had an English teacher or 2 tell me to just capitalize everything in a title if I wasn't sure. Most people won't care.

The guys who worked on the new Sonic CD were amazingly hardcore about it. It wasn't until I got to the very end of the game that I realized something was different about the engine and then found out it wasn't a port but a complete remake from the ground up. Though that does explain why the "squish death" hitbox is larger in the new versions. The saddest thing was that the new devs were going to actually create a new, more fitting final boss and create a new zone called Desert Dazzle (inspired by the legendary Dust Hill Zone in Sonic 2 and the missing R2 zone from Sonic CD) but both were pulled because Sega didn't want the remake to stray more from the original than it already had (with Tails and spindashing). I've always hoped they'd come out as DLC but still no word almost a year later.

It may be 8:99. It has been a long time since I played and don't remember all the details. I just know you could still gain spell XP after the highest level and that it increased your chance of casting a critical hit spell.
My first one was with the light laser spell on Dark Lich. That one has a noticeably different (and awesome) animation that let me know something was up.

I wish finding all the orbs on nobody. On my SNES cart I tried to do it once while also leveling all magic to 9:99 and I don't think I ever got the second Knuckle or second Axe orb
